@SheikhTaqiyyameister You might be right, but I grew up in the Bible belt and I can tell you for sure that there is just as much hate there as anywhere, and so I think it's important to point that out. It's sad that it's so easy nowadays to demonize Islam, which only let's Christians off the hook from taking a good look at themselves. Did you see the death celebrations when Osama Bin Laden was caught? Those were mostly Christians celebrating death, and only the Pope had anything sensible to say.

Thinking critically really means being willing to let go of traditional and "correct" ways of seeing things and moving toward the realm of calling things as you see them, unflinchingly. At the end of the day we have to be honest to our God, and being disingenuous with other people does not go far in the way of establishing relationships based on trust, honesty, and freedom.

This society is never going to have open dialogue about race as long as certain individuals keep perpetuating the divide. I've been friends with plenty of black people that were totally cool with me until they were around their black friends and then they wanted nothing to do with me. I'm just not like that, if we're cool, we're cool no matter who I'm in the company of. I'm not going to shun someone just because I'm with "my people."

10 minutes, and every minute interesting. With so many people in the social system it seems like a 18-wheeler mac truck going down the highway at 60 mph. Everything is fine as long as it's going straight ahead, but try to make a sharp right turn or left turn and it could be ugly.

And political correctness is that flashing red light next to the odometer saying "warning, ease up on the right turn. about to flip over." lol But maybe flipping is better than hitting the brick wall ahead...
