  • This guitarist is the best

  • Asia must love this band to death

  • These guys are the reason that I took up playing guitar. Now I'm 66 and can't even hold one..

  • merci Ossan pour ta selection

    tu me ressembles beaucoup

de papy jacky France >>>59/62 Nord pas de calais

  • Trance brought me here, now I stay... =D

  • Love that 80s feel.

  • I think Huddy Ledbetter would be impresssed ( he wrote the original)

  • @orenda14 Believe it or not, this song is a lot older than Lead Belly. The oldest known recording of the song was done in the 1920's (almost 20 years before Lead Belly recorded it), but no one seems to know for sure what the origins of the song are. In any case, I love this version--amazing guitar playing!

  • DJ ASHBA you lose!!!! VENTURES WON!!!!

  • @MrMLD72MLD Oh share! Love it!

  • What's really funny is their old drums used to be a 3 set. A floor tom, bass drum, and a snare drum with only 1 cymbal and high-hats XD Yet, they still played these songs.. Amazing..

  • older you are better you rock

  • Am I the only one that think It's freaky that people claps all the time?

  • check out JC's music in Puyallup, WA...hes all about the Ventures and they come here all the time...JC looks like the guy in black...funny thing

  • Who the fuck is the creepy guy following him at 1:13 :O

  • Awesomeeee.

  • Who are these guys? They certainly are not the Ventures I know! except for the rhythm player.

  • @jdean0001 they are the Ventures

normally whenever Nokie Edwards the lead guitarist is not there Gerry Mcgee is there and the bass is Bob Bogle

  • cool

  • garyguitar, I'm afraid you are correct. Love the Ventures, but the Shadows really had it ALL together.

  • Just look what these guys did with this old Blues standard. AND these guys were the Daddy to Heavy Metal. And that's all there is to that.

  • The Ventures are bigger in Asia than they are in the USA.

    Asian love Ventures' music!

I was there for 5 years so I know.

  • なつかしいです。 今でもベンチャーズファンより

  • O ,ye nagyon tutti........

  • G R E A T !

  • these grandpas are legends!!!!!

  • How much do the Ventures rules.

    Thus up if you agreeee!

  • they are good here, but after so many times of changing players they seem to have lost there edge, that made them, the ventures, that and the sound of those, mosright, guitars,no other set of strings had that ,sound,

  • @ravenwolf1952 are you questioning fate's deligation for each of us ? or is your premise related to the supreme being ?

  • Who is that on lead guitar?

  • master class

  • one of my all time favorite songs

  • kings of the kings

    Reyes entre los Reyes

  • I miss Yoki?

  • Great showmanship by a class group!!!!

  • かっこいいー

  • Excellent video!! House of the Raising sun happens to be my favorite as well.

    10 stars

  • si, si, si

  • This is a Cajun sharing his native folklore with people from a faraway land. Seriously one of the best guitar performances I've heard from Gerry McGee.

  • Def. a good cover of the Animals, both great bands.I say I would give it 10 stars!!

  • strat win

  • love that

  • They influenced more guitar players than probably anyone.

  • @garyguitar Dont forget The Shadows.Another most popular group

  • @garyguitar not right..... The Shadows influenced a lot more........ I like The Ventures, but The Shadows had that kind of sense of style, detail and perfection, The Ventures just have not that much.....

  • @FBAV I disagree, but everyone to their own opinion. The Ventures sold a lot more records than the Shadows, who weren't that popular in the US. The Ventures were a lot more popular in the US and Europe and very big in Japan. Rethinking, I imagine Chuck Berry, Hendrix, were probably greater inflences. Elvis caused many to pick up a guitar. SRV to a lesser extent later. But who cares, dig 'em all.

  • Am I wrong or is that drummer not even able to hit the ride more than 4 times a measure??? 'Cause when there is any very typical thing in this song which cannot be forgotten if you take The Animals' version as your example, than every a BIT drummer would hit that ride like The Animals do (1...2-3...4-5-6....1...2-3...4-5-6 and so on)

  • @garyguitar what about hendrix?

  • @garyguitar What about Jimmy Page? Eddie van Halen? Angus Young? Eric Clapton? Just some names.. Especially Page

  • @Matthijs3476 Those are great players, some who were probably influenced by the Ventures, who preceded them by years.

  • howzz about popa chubby hes great, adding him to the list.

  • Best istruband ever.

  • thats right

  • ナイスな演奏。 すばらしい

  • Nice, nice =))

Но без слов - совсем не то!!

  • love this song!

  • @violinpro123 I love the song but this is just a jamsession on it.......

  • So beautiful!

  • Professionals

  • dig it

  • I love it Great play.

  • Great stuff *****

  • woww perfectaaa

  • In the 60s and 70s I watched Jerry McGee (Jerry McGee & The Cajuns) live on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. He was too incredible to have to play with the Ventures or any group. I guess it was better pay. Oh well.......
