To the person who posted a comment saying they felt like people try to push Jesus on them: I'm really sorry, my last comment was a reply to yours, but since I posted it yours has disappeared! I was going to PM you about it but now I can't. It was an honest mistake!
I doubt you'll see this comment, but here's hoping!
Hi, thanks for your comment. I've PM'd you about it so this is for everybody else: I do realise that the Island isn't a movie about Jesus, but in my work with young people I try to find stuff they already now as a way to explain Christianity, and that was the aim of the video.
It is interesting that so many modern stories feature heroes who realize that the world know exists to blind them from a larger truth. This is obviouly something that audiences are feel a connection with.
I don't really understand... Does the bible explain its theory of how sin is a prison? I can understand how we might be slaves to sin, but what truth does sin prevent us from seeing?
Yes. Through Moses Covenant the law which is designed to lead us to life brings death, by awaking the natural desires in us the warped knowledge to perfect wrongdoing: The command do not murder, is expounded a thousand ways how to perfect personal revenge on others, and thus receive in ourself the penalty for such wrong behavior. (Rm 7:23)
I don't know what your getting at. I'm from the UK and I'm not aware of any link between the themes in this video and the Bush administration. I thought the message of the video was pretty clear. Message me direct if you want to explain your comment.
