the first time i watced this video love it love it , see i'm 48yrs young with a dream horse my husband purchased for me , 3yr gyspy vanner gelding Django. i'm 6' tall and fat!! I thought you looked FANTASIC all the bling horse well groomed the way you padded her neck told her she was doing a great job i saw love and a team working to together!!! I can't comment on the bit our hands because i do not have that kind of knowledge but wanting to learn, e. Thank YOU
its more of and extended canter rather than a gallop but in most english riden classes you have a gallop its fun because if you have done a lot of shows or your horse has done a lot of shows then they no the gallop part is coming and realy go 4 it
Now is the time for all of us horse lovers to step up! Thousands of horses are being slaughtered right now in the US for human consumption.Even Racehorses and pregnant mares are killed. USDA studies show over 92% of horses slaughtered are healthy and 3 out of 10 contain unhealthy chemicals.
Beautiful horse,no doubt, but when other riders suggest something, it might help u to listen. If thumb and finger contact were the case, she wouldn't be jigging her head to evade, and we clearly see you pulling her mouth during your side pass. Port bit = loose reins, that's the beauty of it. It takes very little pull to create pressure and the lack of your knowledge of this bit is evident and painful to watch. Good horsemanship means looking at things objectively, even when you don't want to.
It is a low port western show bit with a leather curb strap and mild and it was her first time showing at a canter and this class we did just to "have the time of our life" and I ride her with only finger and thumb contact on the reins, I am not pulling on her at all. She is a green show horse and has been a trail horse and broodmare her entire life, she just had her 5th foal in April this year. A full bridle would be appropriate for english but we were riding western in this demo.
thats a very severe bit to be riding with both hands...would you not be better in a traditional double bridal with two bits and reins, cos in canter you can see your horse avading the bit as it is so strong. i show my cob in english double bridal with a snaffle and a pelam and he rides beautifully.
Vanna is one of the sweetest and most talented horses I have ever had the pleasure of riding, not bad for a broodmare/trail horse, it was her 2nd show under saddle. Gotta love the gypsy horses :)
You cant really ride.......
