Hey thanks Hiroko! I'm making a CAD model these days of the Shinkansen 700 series train for an exam project and your video provides nice close-up details :)
Is it just me or at 1:20 does it look like there is a blue eyed Terminator sitting at the end of the train. It's looking through glass all like "One day human! JUDGMENT DAY!"
Shinkansen are one of my favourite parts of Japan. And the train stations are awesome. Major ones - like Tokyo - are massive in size. So looking forward to going back to Japan next year in May.
I had to look up what Dr Yellow was on Wiki, so for the benefit of others:
"...the nickname for high-speed test trains...The 'Doctor' part of the name is obvious from their test and diagnostic function, and the 'Yellow' part comes from the bright yellow colour they are all painted."
Hi Hiroko. What do the two chime sounds mean? You can hear them at 1:06, 1:17, 1:27. I would hear them all the time in train stations and I knew enough Japanese to ask someone, but I didn't know enough to understand an answer ;p
@MisutaKokujindansei I have no idea too. Maybe its some kind of research vehicle, I mean it was pretty short too so there are not many passengers only the Drivetrain usw.
@MisutaKokujindansei Dr. Yellow runs between Tokyo and Hakata(Fukuoka) weekly to inspect railway and overhead power-cable. Also, they occasionally send this train for diagnostics after relatively bigger earthquakes, heavy rain, and other traffic irregularity.
That slick design and a bright yellow colour makes it very beautiful. Anyway what's more interesting for me ii the train station it is so clean and shiny wow, I mean I heard that they are but still. Great video and Merry Christmas:)

700 series Dr. Yellow saying "Quack Quack" lol xD
it's quite nice to have sensors everywhere, even in pantographs.
now talking about pantographs, I liked the T-style pantograph from W set JR500
keep rolling! =D

Cool. Deutsche Bahn (trail in Germany) is a very poor, expansive and ugly trail-company.

@knowntothose DY is not for passenger service. it , whose design is based on series 700, can go up to 270km/h.

平日にもかかわらずすごい人ですね。
私の住んでいる所は田舎なのでドクターイエローは通過なので
駅も人は少ないので撮影は簡単です。
本日上り検測で通過なので本日撮影に行こうと思っています。
