  • esto eran peliculas y no las pavadece de ahora!!

  • in my opinion frankie laine had the most distinctive voices of the 50s .his voice speaks right to your soul..oh and great to see champion the wonder horse on the recent hits album...plenty of festive play on my jukebox!

  • Poor ol' Lee van Cleef gets killed in this one too!!!!!!

  • whoa backtrack

    wha language wuz that again?????

  • Supurb track and film.

  • Like it!

  • I like this - I love Frankie Laine and all the old country/western film themes as well as the old truckers songs

  • The author is ukrainian jewish Dmitrii Tiomkin. "Rawhide" is his work as well! Great works by the way!

  • American music is so cheesy .........

  • @MyMerlin1 Maybe it's your taste that's cheesy!

  • "Did you hear that Ringo?!? I`m UNDER arrest!!"... Out F#$&*%#standing!!

  • This song is quirky melodically in an awkward manner. Pity Laine who must have had to use a guide track. It's hard for a professional musician to not wince at certain voice leadings. Laine probably ran from the mic after an acceptable take.

  • machoman song

  • genitals

  • genetals

  • WHAT A GREAT SONG

  • Genial!!!

  • As much as the theme song from the Godfather, this one--from what I consider perhaps the best of all in the Western genre--brings to me sweet and enduring nostalgia.... Thanks for posting it.

  • the best of the best songs ever

  • Hollywood wouldn't know how to make a western today if its' life depended on it. Clint Eastwood is the last remaining western movie hero. When he leaves us, sadly, the great Hollywood western will go with him.

This is one of my all time favorite western movies - a great story, a great script, bigger-than-life actors/actresses portraying legendary figures, and a top-notch theme song, sung by a legendary songs-of-the-old-west singer. It doesn't get any better than this!

  • @chuckt99 I thoroughly SECOND that. I did not see the remake of 3:10 to Yuma because without Mr. Laine singing the title song, it was diddly.

  • I LOVE It!

  • This is the first American song I started getting crazy for all pops. I was 8 years old at that time!

  • Toreador 370 you are so right...this was one powerful movie, theme song, and excellent acting. If it were done today it would all about computer generated stunts, explosions, and politically correct BS!

  • BURT LANCASTER, KIRK DOUGLAS and

    FRANKIE LAINE THREE GIANTS..

I'm from Brazil and member of the Cineclube dos Amigos do Western.

  • 3:10 to Yuma, too. Yep, you're right...it's good not to have to choose. ghost heard in the sky....yes

  • It's hard to decide which is the more perfect western song...Rawhide or Gunfight at OK Corral. You know you have a classic when you can't help but sing along. Cut 'em out ride em in....there they lay side by side.

You decide. Thank you Frankie. PS also love Jezebel.

  • no need to decide. I could easily name like 10 more songs, "Do not forsake me" from "High Noon" for example, or "Ghost Riders in the Sky", and they are all great.

  • I thought Glen Yarborough did the originial song to this movie???

  • @MrObie01 No, it was Frankie Laine. Their voices are somewhat similar. I have no doubt that Yarborough was influenced by Laine who was about seventeen years Glenn's senior.

  • Super movie and soundtrack. Frankie does a great job.

  • Tonsille d'acciaio eri il migliore !!!

  • "Boot hill, Boot hill, so cold, so still. There they laid side by side, the killers that died at the Gunfight at OK Corral."

Great movie from a time when Hollywood knew how to make great movies.

  • I second that.

Today the movies are hardly worth the celluloid they are made on.

  • Celluloid? You gotta be kidding ;)

  • What do filmmakers make movies on today?

    Merry Christmas.

  • IDK - but srsly.... j/k

  • @NYDutch1968

Yeah. And the music of the films - super ! ! !

  • @NYDutch1968 .....I second that.

Heaven help Hollywood if they do a remake of this--who could match the artistry of the Messrs. Douglas and Lancaster?

    Agree? Raise your hand.

  • Great movie--great song!

  • This movie and the music are timeless, both beautifully capturing an era of America's growing pains, pitting a ruthless cattle baron and spineless sheriff against a principled US Marshall, his brothers, and his outlaw friend. Absolutely superb.

  • Love it!!! Great song, fine movie.

  • There was a version of this song used on a Japanese Gameshow. It had sort of a Rock Beat to it and didn't have any Vocals. Does anyone know of a version of this song that sounds like that.

  • Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster and the voice of the great Frankie Laine: What a great combination!

  • i loved frankie laine almost as much as marty robbins. he could sing most anything. thanks for this and all videos you have posted

  • Un de mes premiers choc cinématographique.

  • A great movie about friendship, family, courage and what it means to be a man in general!! They don`t tell stories like this anymore in modern cinema!!

  • @Toreador370

i veri valori della vita ormai andati perduti

  • @Toreador370 Too bad it is HORRIBLY INACCURATE

  • @dolphinsneu - This is Toreador370...that`s right in the historical way. But I never cared about things how they were - but how they should have been.

  • Smashing vid with great voice of Frankie Laine

  • This song takes me back over 50 years when we used to watch beautifull Westerns in Cairo Egypt. I truly miss the old Actors

  • esto lo ecribo en español buena pelicula buena de las buenas

  • where the hell is the original??

  • Hi there from nr Liverpool. The full version of this IS available on a cd, Erich Kunzel & Cincinnati pop orch with Frankie Laine vocals on cd80141 .The complete set of songs he sings throughout the film are included. Good luck in your search,Ernie

  • Somewhere, some time ago they ,(the music industry and the moviemakers) lost the art of making great westerns and producing great music. Thank God it was recorded. What a 'desert' we're in now. Thanks for posting.Dave.

  • Beautyful music ..great movie

  • Burt and Kirk...what a great double act, wish they were still making westerns

  • Love this Movie Kurk Doglas (Doc's) Best roll

  • no that is spartacus!!

  • true but hes realy good in this movie

  • haha!! yea, I agree.

  • Great Western movie, with a great theme song sung by Frankie himself. Thank you!!

  • Incomparable western tune from the great Frankie Laine.Kirk Douglas[Doc] and Jo VanFleet really act up a storm as a cursed couple.

  • This is a really cool song. Saw the movie yesterday :)

  • One of the finest singers ever.

  • Only Frankie Laine could have done such a great song, Have you heard the whole set of songs that FL sing throughout the film on a cd, they are great....but be warned the gunfire at the end is deafening (lol) my wife jumped with shock when I had it playing even at 1/2 volume on the hi-fi.cheers ,Ernie B

  • Is this a different version than the opening of the movie?????

  • Yes-good ear. There were some different verses throughout the movie.I believe this version was released as a single.

  • Kirk and Burt are brilliant in this class movie. Brilliant acting, fantastic direction makes this a powerhouse movie, also Frankie lane 10/10

  • Only Frankie Lain's voice, seems made for this movie Brilliant . Thanks

  • Smashing vid with great voice of Frankie Laine Thanks
