What I love about this is that it's John hurting Sherlock for once, not the toehr way around. As well as it being really well put together.

Wonderful! For some reason remind me of the story "Castrato" about ACD!castrato!Holmes. Perhaps because of this story (though as in the other) Holmes could not be happy until he met Watson.
