  • It appears Vanson Leathers had a stranglehold on the market at this time. I can see why they lost it.

  • thumbs up if you think that reporter is wearing the ugliest leather suit you've ever seen.

  • "dogs running across ..." hah hah hah. fricking dogs, possums, racoons, squirrels, deer, cows, cats ... armadillos ... gun it boy . . . lol >_<

  • @Austyg I love the way my riding teacher put it, "Dogs have an internal calculator, and once they lock onto your position they know exactly where to intercept you." Haha

  • @TheLifeEnigma ,, lol ;)

  • the megaphone was upside down 0:14 , too bad, man

  • whats that about lower center of gravity? and a combined lean angle of bike and rider means a more upright bike which means more tread? but not more effective tread? what the hell...

  • can i do this with zx150 ? >.<

  • most maneuverable machine on 2 wheels? WRONG! MOTOCROSS bikes are :)

  • @elliotmotoX bycicle?

  • @ridder5152 not really a machine is it

  • Anyone know of any Honda school in Cali/nearby or any school using 600s? Would love to get some advanced instruction but don't have thousands of dollars for it.

  • marcomotolessons (on youtube) wishes he could ride as well as Freddie Spencer.

Put your head down low, chin pointing in the direction that you want to go?

Now you are riding a motorcycle instead "driving" one.

  • Fast Freddie Spencer is the only racer to win 250cc and 500cc World Championships in the same year.(pretty sure). Irv kamamoto was THE tuner, freddie was THE rider. I was just a U.S marshall (cornerworker) in turn 2 at Loudon NH, when he tank slapped all the way from turn 1 to wall in turn 2.....

He saved it !!! I needed a change of underwear, instead of a broom etc. etc.....

  • love salt lake city

  • such an expensive sport , if i was rich id be ama champ for sure

  • @philthethrillohio

    Aint that the truth

  • Do you COUNTER STEER while cornering (in a corner)? I get ass off the seat, nose to the side mirror, balls of cornering foot up high on the peg and knee down (usually), but I feel as though counter steering while in full lean is DANGEROUS!!??

  • @toecutterr6 Definitely not a rider... If you were taking hard turns and getting knee down YOU ARE COUNTER STEERING. If you were not using CS you would high side EVERY turn. CS is not something you think about using it happens. Ever ridden a bicycle down a hill and turned, guess what, you just used counter steering.

  • @WinSomeLoseNone0 Moto GP riders can take a corner with no hands (I've seen them do it). I have been 'pulling' on the left bar (in a right turn) when I've found it's better to push the right bar forward (in that same right corner). I got it now; much more aggressive in the turns in conjunction with a higher gear. These New England country roads are very harrowing for even the most skilled rider.

  • @toecutterr6 To turn a bike, say a left turn, push the left handle to dip the bike and after that, it should be all body weight that leans the bike. Once the bike is leaned, you use your throttle to hold the bike up. when you chop the throttle you'll go wide and the bike will fall over. You almost steer with your throttle. More throttle will stand your bike up and less throttle will dip your bike more. Assuming this is track riding. I don't recommend riding this way on public roads. Be safe.

  • @toecutterr6 don't overthink it. pretty much every time you steer your motorcycle, assuming your feet are off the ground and you are on the bike moving, you are already countersteering.

People make such a big deal out of the whole countersteering thing and it confuses people. There's nothing to it, really.

  • @crash86ed Agreed. Overthinking will possibly cause you to crash. Countersteering is a natural technique.

  • hey its only $ 3,395.0 pocket change lol like I said before, money buys happiness

  • the problem is not everybody can afford take this kind of school.

  • that looks like so much fun...gawd i want my own already! fxcK!

  • if you turn in a little hard then try applying a little more gas. That will widern your turn...

  • Im having issues mid turn, im already pitched over and steady on the gas holding a turn, and the inside starts creeping in on me. Am i leaning to far or not enough on the power? or something else, ive only been riding a year and planning a track day soon so im still a noob.

  • do u mean your coming into the inside curb?...if so your either turning in to early or leaning over to far for the speed your doing....so either turn in later or take the corner faster!!!......the later u turn the later u can brake, turn the bike and then fire it out of the apex....to be quick as u come off the brakes you`ll be straight on the throttle looking for the apex....but what i`m talking about takes time and experience

  • Yea i think im not bringing enough speed when i fall into the corner, that and i lean to much. Trying to get my positioning down before i worry about breaking into the turn, not comfortable with that yet.

  • Hi m8. Just adjust with a tiny bit of countersteer and that whould get u streight back on the right line...Don't drop ur throttle..

  • whats that with the break pressure? Do you have to break with rear brake when you are puutting your knee on the ground???

  • Not at all. Its just helps to adjust your line mid corner or bleed off a little speed. If you're just getting into track riding or riding in general, dont worry about that technique yet.

  • Erm, OK!!! I just wore the chicken strips off my rear tyre right to the edges today after having my bike for a month so I will definitely wait for hitting rear brake mid-corner :)

Man oh man, after having a little road registered 2 stroke dirt bike for 10 years it's nice to have a 'proper' road bike though!

Even though it's not that exciting for some of the teeny-boppers that read the comments and criticise. Some of those weeners I swear are 15 and don't even have a bike!

  • Great video! The Freddie Spencer school is a "some day" dream of mine that may not be too likely, given that I live in St. Louis, but would be an amazing experience nonetheless.

  • unfortunately, it looks like the school closed. :(
