Check out the Girl in the back doing the Re-run...LOL!...It's funny how times change...brings back good memories...I was in the 7th grade...just in case anyone cares...if not that's cool too...I'm still chillin' and Listening to the video...ahhhhh!...the Good ol' days! Smile
if you look at everyone in that audience you can see they all have rhythm. if that was a bunch of white people back then you would see they would have no rhythm at all lmao they would be so lost not feeling it at all lmao
Betty was the first person i saw live on stage in South Africa in the city Hall and this song has always stuck in my mind i think it is cause of the words, my aunt took me to her show and got to say we really enjoyed it. love this music still my kids even like it and they in the their 20's now
@nooky1100 I'm proud to say that my brother and his band was the opening act for that show. That time they had Ronnie Joyce as their lead vocals. I met the group backstage at the three arts theatre.
I was starting high school in 1975 those were the best years ever these kids will never know the good music that came out of the 70's unless they see it on youtube or watch soultrain videos.
@danielle1961 unless they had parents that kept the "needle" down & the volume all the way up! lmao i am a 74 baby so i had them parents, aunts, uncles, & even grandparents. my dad use to tell me i was conceived off the O'jays! lol and when i was still in the womb he would sing or play them just so i would settle down. guess that's why i like them so much
beautiful music, beautiful people, God, what the youngsters are missing. We had the best of soul. And it was embedded in our hearts and souls. No cussing, no fighting, pure love.
I remember when i was a kid and i had a natural. It's so funny now when i look back at those pictures, i just laugh and say " Damn my fro was lopsided." LOL
@therealraybaby - A Natural? I haven't heard that term since it stopped being used! Youngins try to understand 'this thing' we had. The music was natural, the hair was called a natural, and we flowed naturally when we danced! Shucks... this is when we were wearing Foot Joy Shoes, Gabardine Pants, and Banlon shirts!
This song just makes me smile from ear to ear, although I regret the person, but just bringing back the essence of my youth ;)
