What are you talking about? If you're referring to the two in the video, they weren't battling. 2. They are both doing two different kinds of dancing. Phillip was hitting the beats whereas Sifu was doing dimestops, and both had their own styles of waving and isolation. They interpreted the music differently and distinctly.

Once you know how it works, once you understand how to pop, then you can create your own moves.

I have 2 questions. Do you have to be double jointed to do some of those moves? And (except for moves like the split) do you have to be in great shape to do these steps or can an average person starting to learn do it? I know lots of kids who are physically slender and healthy but NOT in shape (can't touch their toes, etc.).

It doesn't take being really in shape, athletic, or flexible... just practice... lots... and mirrors. Any muscles that need to be strong or joints flexible will become that way as you practice and you find yourself doing things you thought were well beyond you capabilities in no time

To answer that guys question:

The best way to learn a dance is watch videos and try to coppy their moves and don't forget to look in mirror, it is very important.

Once you start coppying moves, you'll realise that you're actually developping your own style and that's how it goes.

Once you know how it's done, you just need to practise and be creative. Let all the stuff around you be an inspiration.

Dancing is like designing. 8)

No that is not really correct. The best way to learn this dancestyle, "Popping" is to get your foundations down, hitting, angles, dimestops, etc. AND THEN watch videos but do not copy moves, when you have your foundations down you can see what makes a move sick and amazing for example, speed control, clean isolation, musicality, etc. Do not learn other's amazing moves but learn what make moves amazing and apply to yourself.
