AWESOME!! my parents taped this when i was a child and i even brought this VHS to my home and show it to my kids now...all this time i never knew "Thriller" was at the start! Apparently my dad(he did most of the recording) didnt start taping this special when it actually came on...Awesome video and great quality too, especially being from an old tape!!
@heine71 No, it was new for this special. The Magic Mirror in that special was played by Hans Conried, here he's played by Jeffrey Jones.
Your second bit of info isn't correct *at all*...she voiced Witch Hazel in the 1952 Donald Duck short "Trick Or Treat". She also portrayed Lucifer's vocalizations in Cinderella, a mermaid and one of the lost boys in Peter Pan and Daisy in one of the later Donald Duck shorts.
Who else remembers this? I got to thinking about this when Ayamei was watching Nickelodeon's MegaMusicFest the other night, and decided to look it up. I still remember watching this on TV when I was little!
Does anyone know the name of the Mickey cartoon at around 2:15? The one where he is followed down the basement staircase by a pair of his old boots attached to his rifle... thanks!
I never knew they had more than 1 DTV special. Is this the one with Weird Al's Eat It? That's the one that I have on tape (I'm pretty sure I still have it). I forgot what other songs it had. I have to dig it up to find it.
When I was a little, little kid - no more than 5 or 6 - I had a copy of this recorded from TV and watched it constantly. One of my earliest and fondest childhood memories, and probably influenced my musical tastes, too!. Thanks for uploading!

Il see if i can get it on torrorents for ya all
Does anyone know what the second cartoon was called? I used to have a yellow film cartridge that played in a little projector that you had to wind yourself and it played this short. This definitely brought back memories.

June Foray didn't do any Disney voices until the 1980's with Gummi Bears and Ducktales.

Back when Disney ruled! No Jem stealing Hanna Montana, no commercial promos, no cut shows, no stupid CGI of classic characters!
zangazoo2007 9 months ago 2
@zangazoo2007: Jem is an 80s show. Unless you meant gem, as in jewels.
TherealRNO 2 weeks ago
@TherealRNO Nope that is EXACTLY what I meant. Disney ripped off Jem when they made Miley Virus's show. Jem IS the original dual identity rock star.

frAnkysGirl00 1 year ago
Uh Jeffrey, Witch Hazel is a WARNER BROS character!!!
I know this cause I heard THE June Foray on our phone talking about her character.
realar 1 year ago
@realar Witch Hazel's first cartoon appearance was in "Trick Or Treat", a Donald Duck short produced by Disney.
June Foray also voiced a witch in several Bugs Bunny cartoons produced for Warner Brothers. NOT the same character.
DTVzone 1 year ago
@DTVzone OKAY.. and they have the same name. How did that happen?
realar 1 year ago
@realar Chuck Jones essentially ripped the character off. The first Warner "Witch Hazel" cartoon was released two years after Disney's.
The actual name "Witch Hazel" is derived from the name of a plant. I don't really think it's something you can copyright.
