Rock n Roll is not the same as rock music. Rock n Roll is a mixture or blues and country pioneered by Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly. Rock n Roll evolved into two main types - rock and pop. The harder type became rock music and the softer more commercial type became what we call pop. Both are rock n roll. I'm not a big fan but Madonna deserves this.

She is or was an amazing entertainer but she has lost so much along the way. I really don't know if she belongs here because she is not an artist whom can play instruments, compose music nor actually do it all alone like most acts. However, she has made her mark and made things interesting. Madonna has outlasted many others in her category however, is that category really great? Her speech was so overblown and pointless which is sad considering whom she is.

The Rock Hall of Fame obviously doesnt mean shit if they even consider letting Justin Timberlake speak at the hall of fame, letting alone inducting Maddona. I dont understand how bands that are way better such as The Stooges, Alice Coooper, or T Rex are not in the hall of fame. The Hall of Fame has NO credibility. I will say that I have visited the Hall of Fame and the Museum is cool.

If you need a ceremony to justify that The Stooges, Cooper and T Rex are hall of fame, then you're not really a music fan. I don't even know who's in the rock hall of fame, but I know Stooges, Cooper, T Rex, Madonna AND Justin Timberlake are very, very talented individuals. Ceremonies don't mean shit. Only the music should matter to you.
