The Twilight series is everything wrong with literature today. The main character's a basic Mary-Sue, a cardboard cutout of a character so thin than any girl between the ages of 10 and 25 could insert themselves into her role and nothing would change. The vampires are not vampires, they SPARKLE IN SUNSHINE, what the fuck is that all about. And Meyer writes like she went to Descriptive Writing 101, grabbed a book of 50 words to describe "hot vampires" and liberally spread them through the book.
