IMO !!!!!!!! Prince makes music thats in his head and heart but not so much for record sales now as maybe in the beginning. He's a MUSICIAN first and sure he makes money but what soem say is his BEST album is from a personal point of view or choice. I think he CREATES music that he likes and give BadAzz live performances. Sales arent his main focal point i don't think so you either like his stuff or you don't. He has soooo much unreleased stuff its unreal

@CloudsBeyond I agree that 25 years ago Prince was in his prime and he had more number one hits at that time than anyone in music history. I also admit that "MOST PEOPLE" would consider the music after that less than his earlier works BUT... after 67 albums, soundtracks and compilations, you have to admit that there is still a spark of creativity in Music's most prolific artist. True Prince fans will take Prince for everything he is worth, good and not so good, but NEVER BAD!!!! PURPLE REIGN!!

Good concert! Shame Prince hasn't done anything creative or original or released a great album in some 25 years since Sign of The Times, still he can perform well live. That is Wendy Melvoin on guitar, is that Lisa Colema on keyboards? You hardly see her to be able to tell, I remember back in Revolution days being shocked to learn they were both Rug Munchers aka Beaver Chewers.

For a great many years he has just done the same old very tired funk rubbish, his last really good album was 'Sign of the Times'. Or you telling me his best albums came AFTER Sign of The Times not BEFORE? 'Purple Rain', 1999', Controversy' Sign of THe Times' etc were his best & they were all LONG ago!

I've always enjoyed Michael Jackson, but he has only been a pop legend, and nothing more than that. Plus he never accepted his background, which I find sad, although he probably had a hard childhood that pushed him towards discussable choices.. Prince is way much more talented! Amazing composer, musician, dancer, and spiritual being! Thank you Prince for the great company you kept me since I was a child! LOVE U A LOT!

There never is a "good" version of Purple Rain that is rushed.

It should ALWAYS be performed like it was in his '83 Concert VHS.

Period. Rushing Purple Rain for me is like rushing a prayer.

Yes! He is rushing it latley in hes concerts wich I don't like. You can tell that he is getting bored of the song thats way he's rushing it and changing the lyrics and guitar solos
