  • Can you use Seratto with mixdeck

  • Look up the definition dj a person who plays music a (disc jockey) or a person who mixes music together with the same bpms

  • You're an idiot.

  • buy one then i would like to see your comparision!!

  • as far as what's for a PRO and what's not for a PRO DJ, some Global DJ's don't even use a laptop, they go straight up CDJ's, so not everyone needs Serato/traktor....all on the skill. Both good products. Doesn't Mixdeck have it's own sound card?

  • feel bad for the guy for all those people trashing him lol. I like the NS7, and the Mixdeck looks very cool, seen people who use them on pretty nice gig, in the end, should come down to preference and what one is doing. Not every DJ is the same...not everyone needs vinyl since not everyone scratches. Not everyone needs CD/USB since they have Serato, not everyone needs to USE serato or even a laptop. In the end, it's all on the DJ...

  • good video. Am i correct in saying that the Mixdeck can be used with or without a laptop? That to me would be better than the NS7....in case the computer were to crash can use the mixdeck cd/ipod.

  • Depends if u want to become a professional dj then u need the ns7fx and if ur just starting the mixdeck will do... I used to own the ns6 and they are just MIDI controllers for beginners..

  • 1800 dollars??? holy fuck thats not even close to the canadian price. try 1249 at axe music you fucking idiot. get your facts straight

  • I own both but I use the mixdeck for bigger parties / important gigs due to the fact if your laptop goes down u pop a cd or thumb drive or even your iPod but ns7 has more options and it feels better!!!

  • I'm not here to bash you like some other people have. Also seeing you video is from mid 2010, a lot of changes have happened in the Numark line up. Especially with the "N" series controllers and "MIX" series controllers and all in ones. Here is what I think, it's not that either controller/all in one is better than the other one. It's what the person wants out of his or her equipment in all aspects. Both have pros and cons in my opinion.

  • NS7 comes with ITCH, your mixdeck comes with Traktor LE, LE is a lot cheaper than the full version of serato ITCH. That is why your mixdeck is so much cheaper as well

  • I creased when you started playing one of the YouTube replacement songs LMAO! Yeah I have the Numark Mixdeck, and I cannot personally compare it to the NS7 as I have never used it. The Numark Mixdeck does it for me, has everything I need!

  • In my personal prefence the Numark Mixdeck is a nice piece of beginner equipment for DJ’s to practice and do small gigs. My NS7FX is well built, DJ feel, and was only $1200, not $1800. I have it in a custom Odyssey case with lights and the look is so professional that I actually got more gigs with it then without. So, if you are a PROFESSIONAL DJ like me, you will buy better equipment that will last you a long time through wear-n-tear road parties.

  • hey i was wondering if it was worth the extra cash if your a beginner because i was looking at the mix-deck and the ns7 and i was wondering if it is worth to pay the extra cash if im just a beginner

  • i have both and i use both traktor and serato and both the ns7fx and the kontrol s4. both software and hardware have the purposes, it just depends on what kind of party you spinning for

  • If they plan on making djing a career along with the fact that they plan on doing alot of advanced scratching beyond a baby scratch, i'd say get a ns7fx. If they are not doing alot of scratching and doing more blending/mashups, i'd suggest the kontrol s4

  • The ns7 also built like a tank. I could keep going on and on over the mixdeck faults compared to ns7fx. But everyone has their own taste. If you want a decent deck for a cheap dime to your finances, to get started, the mixdeck would be good....however i would say get the vci-300mkII which is currently 499 at guitarcenter, or get the traktor kontrol s2.

  • 4) the ipod AUX that the mixdeck has according to the video, saying that the ns7 can't do....thats a lie, i know for a fact cause i've done that. A RCA to 1/8th inch cable will do this using the RCA connection (Red White ports on the front of the ns7 next to where a mic would go)....and you can chaing the Gain/Bass/Treble.....so i guess that would be a PLUS 2 to the ns7 over the mixdeck.

  • differences between Mixdeck and NS7FX.

    1) mixdeck doesn't work with any serato except ssl i believe and that is with the slX (x for number) rane interfaces.

    2) mixdeck cdj type platter, ns7 has MOVING platters with a REAL 7" vinyl disc (which can be modified from the stock black decks to other colors)

    3) mixdeck only 3 cue points, ns7 5

  • well yeah i agree with you. numark mixdeck is a really good machine for mobile dj.

  • Dude I have a NS7FX and an iDJ3. I use the iDJ3 for small parties for kids and practice. Why? because it's plastic and kids just want to hear some music they don't care about mixing so I practice on it. The Mixdeck to me is a practice machine too. And you say yourself in the video the NS7 has a better sound card. The mixdeck is for a kids party who wants to plug in their iPod for some songs. The NS7FX is what I use to DJ Weddings, the club, homecoming dances, etc.

  • You are very misinformed about the NS7 my friend.

  • i stopped half way through, just get a ns6, it rapes both of them.

  • This video has to be a joke. Those things are cheap and break. Thats the main reason its more. Nobody out in a club would use that. Its an entry level controller. Entry

  • is it possible to scratch using cds on the mixdeck?

  • YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT'S DIFFERENT? yea the ns7 has moving platters. but it also has its own sound card. that = better quality for the music. and the moving platters isn't the main reason for the price. it's also the metal. the quality of the parts. and the inputs, outputs, and the ns7fx. you have an fx bar. same thing. so all your points are invalid. please. get better info. and dont down talk a piece of equipment that you can't afford. try to look good on stage with that. hahahahahahaa

  • @miniknights no the spinning plater actually make a big difference in price and for for a 900 dollar difference you can buy the besty souncard a case and still have some left over the nsfx bar is nothing speical

  • this is good for you i agree

  • i like ur taste... cant wait til i get mine

  • old fashin jog wheels my fukkin ass yuhr the stupidest dumbass old fashion is a spining platter dumb fukk plus numark sucks dick aht making contollers the best one they have is the ns6 they both suck so dont fight over peice of shit controllers

  • how can equipment be better? dont they all do the same thing? explain somebody :)

  • Can you use the Traktor x1 with the mixdeck?

  • @TheEloc123 Yes

  • dude, can you record your mixes to the virtual dj program?

  • but the v7 is better because the ns7 comes with a crapy mixer and u can use any mixer with the v7

  • but the ns7 is only usb but one thing that sucks is that for some computer it would make your cpu high and would scratch by itself and the motor will would make your computer lag and frezze and crash

  • i have the numark ns7 and it way better than this crap!!!! u suck! ALL THE NS7 DJS PLEASE STAND UP!!!!!!!!!!

  • you are crazy the ns7 is better dont bring up the s4 because thats a whole different controller not to mention you cant even scratch on that plastic toy either ! and the ddj s1 ?? HA! you obviously havent seen the ns6 which trumps that ddj along with the denon and s4! and just so you know the reason why the ns7 automatically trumps your crap is because SERATO software cost around 6 hundred just for the hub which the ns7 has built in so do some more homework !

  • @DjSevenLa If serato had a dick you guys would be sucking it. Would yall just get off of Serato's dick. Some people prefer not to get Serato. I have all three softwares (Serato, VDJ, and Traktor and to me I think Tracktor works best.. Dude get off of Serato's imaginary dick.

  • I preffer the NS7 because of the layout, the sturdiness, and the response. Response is better than mixdeck, also has the moving turntables. Although I wish the NS7 did have more media, is it so hard to do if you have a laptop (except iPod deck). I got my NS7 for $800 and I LOVE IT! I was considering the mixdeck but for an $800 NS7!?

  • @remixer412 hey howd u get it for 800 bucks? its usually 1200 bucks i was just wonderin cuz if its was 800 bucks then im all out for NS7.

  • @mgcdillon i would've preffered it to be new, but looking on ebay a refurbished one was $800 for me and well worth it, i got it in excellent condition, and works like a charm! Absolutely flawless

  • why the fuck would anyone want an ipod deck ?? a cd deck ?? serato itch has every song in your hard drive on your computer ! YOU SIR ARE A JACKASS for saying that that piece of shit is better than the ns7! dont down talk equipment just because you cant afford the better stuff . thats like me saying hey aston martins are cool but hondas are better ahahahh

  • @DjSevenLa First I am not cheap I dont see the need to pay that much for somethings thats only good becuase platter spin, second the only thing that is better is the ns7 is metal, there are way better things out there like traktor kontrol s4, pioneer ddj s1 or the denon dnc6000, all are beter yet the ns7 is more expensive if it wasnt so flashy most people wouldnt even care

  • @djmoezabian89 well, the ns7 aint to expensive, if you think it are 2 turntable's, external sound card, ( digital ) mixer and virtual vinyl system. its all-in-one. if you need to buy a external sound card, 2 turntable's, a mixer and virtual vinyl systems with the same quality as the numark ns7, than it wil cost ALLOT more. mixdeck just got the freaking cd ability, but my opinion: it looks like shit. you better get a skin for it.

  • @DjSevenLa lmfao rite!!!!

  • hey does it come with a sync button, and virtual dj? and can you record your mixes, and how?

  • I have to admit that the Mixdeck is a nice peice of beginner dj equipment. With all the accesses to thumb drives/ipods/CD's. it gives you a lot of options. I personally like my NS7FX. and have made it do things that are unbelieveable. Plus it looks more professional when its set up with the Oddessy case made for it. I love the platters moving because I'm an old-school scratcher. And having the Feel of vinyl works for me. Price was never an issue because 2 gigs paid for it. Dependes on preference

  • Hey man, I want to get a mix deck but the moving turntables are really cool..do you know of any moving platters that are JUST a thing I can plug in to the mixdeck as a controller? I don't want to pay extra for the cd or any controls if I don't have to, would I be able to get a moving platter and still use the controls on the right deck for it? if I could then you sold me a mixdeck.

  • @setman69 in my honest opinion you are better off not buying a mixdeck, buy a mixer and 2 spinning platters but te only thing that does spin are the numark V7s and some of denons equipment you'd buy that and a soundcard and you would use it with seroto and use the Denon DN-HC1000S to control all the effects, but seroto wont have as much as tracktor

you could buy turntables and traktol kontrol x1 and trakor scratch pro2 for all the effects

  • @djmoezabian89 Actually I found that out, this is going to be my setup, mixdeck, one v7, one real turntable, the traktor controller, with traktor software. That set up will work I think, as long as they can plug into the mixdeck. that'll be cool cause then I can mix and match things... I really don't care about a huge mixer, having 2 channels is good enough... what do you think about that setup????

  • Corection NS7 comes with itch not seratto

  • @DJHardDream its a type of serotto, serotto itch

  • @djmoezabian89 Same company :) but good machine mixdeck im getting two NDX800 soon

  • Can I Use The Mixdeck Dj With Serato?

  • Can anyone tell me how long Cd load time for the Mixdeck is?? Because my old mixer has like a 32 sec delay its annoying

  • @Fearsomekyle512 5 seconds tops

  • @Fearsomekyle512 5 seconds tops

  • get the ns6!!!

  • does an itouch work

  • It also depends on your budget. I'm going to buy the mixdeck, but I rather buy the ns7.

  • is the mixdeck touch sensitive? and if so can you do a video on it?

  • The NS7 is a Midi controler. Its not a CDJ/USBJ/iPod mixer. Its For controling Serato on a compuiter. Totally different. I would concider the mix deck to be an awsome player for someone that dosent do crazy turn table moves. proably a techno dj. but serato is the way to go in the US for professional DJs

  • @NicoleFoxx the mixdeck is a midicontroler too using traktor with traktor you can map different buttons to do different things seroto is more plug and play crazier routions are done with traktor

  • u better set ur music boy.. for 8 min.. u only mixed ur spech.,.wanna bet..i can mix 3 techno track for 8 min..with cheaper midi i mix reload from dj techpro.,for 300$., if u compare the price.,.,u need to to compare ur skill.,not ur spech boy..

  • the NS7 is better, but if you dont have the budget, if you're still a beginer, there's no reason to buy the ns7.. but if you're a professional Dj, you should know better, because the pro's work with Pioneer, not with numark. i think everybody can agree on that one, pioneer rocks, so if you're pretty much into the music business and you wanna take a step forward just look at the pioneer products and stuff on that level. if you're not pro, than the numark mixdeck is perfect for you to start with..

  • @nobrericardo32 what im meaning is its too much to spend on an all in 1 unit for theres newer that are better take the ns6 and theres nothing reall the ns7 traktor can do that the mixdeck cant

  • Great vid bro, im looking forward into becoming a DJ i've been mix on my computer for like a month now and I've done pretty ok to be a begginer but i want to buy this mixdeck, do you think its a good one to start with?

  • @Millos4life it is excellent to start with it would be good though to buy each peace seperate instead of all in one

  • @djmoezabian89 Alright thanks bro =]

  • @SeanReyDJ yes it does

  • @djmoezabian89 is the bpm reader manual or auto?

  • @djmoezabian89 you should get traktor s4 u qouls love it and its not that expensive

  • With all those cool things on the mixdeck i really want one now. And i dont really care about who thinks whatever is better. to all of the people who disagree with him, hes just putting his opinion out there. and as i said i dont really care which one is better There all good for different Reasons

  • Thanx so much bro i really wanted the NS7 but i cant afford it and i was eyeing the mixdeck Thanks bro!!!

  • LMAO!! Great review..its seems your trying to sell the mixdeck!I would love to get the n7fx but just cant afford it.I'll prob try this one out.Thnx 4 tha review

  • thanks huge help ur right to a certain point the ns7 is much better but not worth the money to most people

  • dude the ns7fx is 1200 not 1800 and is way better than mixdeck. for double the money an fx bar, moving platters and hotcues ARE WORTH IT for "double the money" like u said

  • @Kevdogofthetown thats the american price with the kontrol x1 you get more hot cues and more effects

  • can you conect amplifier to has a bigers speekers ?

  • That is why I have both. I said earlier (read first post, the second and this one last that this might make sense) I would be fair and for the price Mixdeck wins. There is more than the spinning platters that make the NS7 better though. Oh and by the way, there is an aux in in front of the unit for your I-pod and the NS7 records your mixes directly to your hard drive. Also the Mixdeck weighs in at a mier 12 lbs...Better have a sticky table to put it on to keep it from movin when your scratching!

  • The only way I can imagine the NS7 being better is if I could map Traktor Pro to it. Their have been many attempts but met w/ little success. Every bit of the guts of the NS7 is superior. Weight = 35 lbs. Metal, can take a beating. Cross faders and up faders are incredibly smooth. Hot cue and loop buttons are made to take a beating. The responsiveness of the platters to someone who " knows" how to scratch is second to none in the midi world. I agree that Traktors effects are better than Serato

  • Ok, I am gonna be fair on this, but you get what you pay for. I have 2 set-ups, one is real tables (ttx's) running Traktor Pro and old school vinyl if I choose. The other is the NS7 w/ fx bar which I have been running for a year now. I also have seen and played w/ the Mixdeck so I am not making assumptions when I tell you that the NS7 is superior to the Mixdeck as a midi contoller w/ the turntablist in mind.

  • @ djmoezabian89 - Ah!... It's via Traktor. Ok. that explains why it is not on my Mixdeck. =) I have Virtual DJ, but maybe I'll see if VDJ has something similar to "gator". It's a really cool sound.

  • @ djmoezabian89 - I really liked that effect. I wonder if there are different versions of the firmware or something. I have the backspin like yours, an "Echo" and a "Chop", and a couple of other effects, but I didn't see a "gatot". Do you know what the effect parameter setting was when you were playing that song?

  • @MrLiberty2000 sorry i ment gator that is the effect i used and you need traktor pro

the mixdeck comes with traktor L E you can upgrade for 160$ to traktor pro sometimes there is a half off sale

  • Nice review.

There is a local nightclub where the DJ uses a NS7. It is very nice, but I didn't think I needed to spend that much as a "noob". I bought a used Mixdeck and am trying to learn it. What is the effect you are using at around 3:20? It is the effect you selected after the "wind-down" effect. I didn't know you could use the "parameter" wheel to affect the sound... so I learned something from your video. Thanks! =)

  • @MrLiberty2000 therer are 2 effects I used te 1st one was turntable effect and the 2nd one is gatot

  • if the NS7 played cds.... man. what if you are doing a gig and they hand you a cd to play? sure, NS7 is better for tricks and what not... but for the average DJ the mixdeck is a much better deal, hands down. and in case Justin Beiber reads this: your fucking music sucks.

  • All the NS7 is is a fancy MiDi controller for a laptop program that shows you a song's soundwaves. While the Mixdeck is a REAL pair of Decks. there is more skill in mixing, scratching, ect. by Ear than there is with a laptop. Those who use the NS7 might as well be using virtual DJ.

  • @Sebris ok the ns7 is real decks they are nuark v7s and they are exellent in anyones opinion the thing is the ns7 coming with serato and it is more plug and go the mixdeck deck comes with traktor there more features in it with serato the sound quality is better it would be exellent to have both depending on what your doing the mixdeck has the ndx 800 for decks they are both good just dont buy an all in 1 unit that cost 1700 cnd is my main point

  • All the NS7 is, its a midi controller for a laotop to be used on a program that shows you the Music's sound effects. TBH, more skill in mixing, scratching, ect. is by ear. Those who use the NS7 might as well just be using Virtual DJ

  • you sound like u have gas

  • No way the Mixdeck is better than the NS7! If that was the case the Mixdeck would cost more lol

  • @tranjohn its more because its metal and has motors

  • The NS7 has motorized platter/solid build (no toy like build) has ports for aux audio devices bro, check your information before dissing. The NS7 can do any audio device.

  • @TeamRob0t im not dising anything and all im saying is motors are no big deal plus 1700$ is a lot and there coming out with new and better things now

in my opinion it would be better to buy the v7 turntables seperate not spending that much on an all in 1 unit

  • @djmoezabian89 U can pick up the NS7FX for $1200usd brand new now! So u shoulda searched around for better prices than $1800 for just the NS7

  • how much do they both cost?

  • @SmoothWheels the ns7 is i think 1500 but it has no effects on it so most people buy the ns7fx for 1700 the mixdeck is 897

  • @SmoothWheels U can pick up the NS7FX for $1200usd brand new now!

  • Getting mine tomorrow :) what was that second effect you used?

  • @superfamouskids My favourite effect Gator but you need traktor pro the mixdeck comes with L E if you go on nativeinstruments web site it you can trakor pro for cheaper since you have L E its a good investment

  • @djmoezabian89 oh yeah one other thing the NS7 u can record ur mixes too!

  • @tranjohn u can on mixdeck u use the ipod

  • @Fearsomekyle512 yeah i know i said that cause u were saying that the NS7 can't record mixes but it actually can

  • @therapperbboy futureshop has them now believe it or not. im almost ready to go out to buy myself a mixdeck.... its a tease not having it.

  • @therapperbboy any dj store should i recived mine from the P A shop you can also buy it online from them bbut any dj store can order it if you cant find it believe it or not future shop sells it

  • i havent really heard of a mixer that can do all that but there are midi controlers that do check out traktor kontrol s4 it may be what your looking for

try also the American Audio vms4

  • hey, well im looking forward to buying a new mixer, that can play cds, drives, and can be a software controller. I have my music all over. IM a local dj that plays weddings, sweet sixteens, blah blah blah. I dont really scratch much because i usually play reggae, soca, and calypso. So im not sure what i should buy. What kind of mixer would you suggest for me that cost below $1000? Im kind of a newbie when it comes to finding the equipment. Anything that you would suggest would definitelyhlp

  • it also doesnt have to be one unit either, any suggestions would be appreciated

  • @DChutneyFarm agreed 100% lookat the NDX800 same as the mixdeck turntables, there is a dj in a box, i cd dj in a box, numark v7s are all good

also i really recomend traktor kontrol x1

  • @DChutneyFarm i havent really heard of a mixer that can do all that but there are midi controlers that do check out traktor kontrol s4 it may be what your looking for

try also the American Audio vms4

  • hi i just wanted to ask is you can really connect another cdj or turntable to the mixdeck?

  • @erikgonz5 yes you can plug in 2 other ones

  • Hey i want to buy the mixdeck, i was looking at it for awhile. Im curious about the sound quality. Does the ipod and laptop sound quality sound good? Also can i plug in external cd players into the back?> I see their are aux outlets.

  • @DChutneyFarm you can plug 2 other units either turntable or cd player

the quality is definitly good but also you should look at traktor kontrol s4 it is a better unit its about 100 $ more

  • @ocdiphonefreak very nive your luckey

  • ...and as far as scratching, are they both on the same level according sharpness?

  • Does traktor come with the mixdeck or do I have to buy it?

  • @Kingpin745 Traktore L E comes with it you can upgrade to traktor pro with it for i think 120$ the regular price for traktor pro is over 200$

  • I haven't used serato scratch live/itch and was wondering between this and the vci-300.. around the same price but i believe this gives me more options for playing media and using different software (i used and love virtual dj and also used traktor before).. i guess i'm looking for some advice on sound quality in parties with 100-500 people. which would be better and which piece of equipment would feel better (solid and stable)?

thanks to anyone with an answer!

  • @soccere11 if you buy the mixdeck deck you should also buy traktor kontrol x1

other things that are good are Traktor Kontrol S4

VMS4 dont go with the vci-300 it doesnt have a lot of features and you wont learn as much using it

  • @djmoezabian89 Thanks for the quick response. I didnt know about the Traktor Kontrol S4 and now I'm puzzled a bit more too :(

Mixdeck (more media options, can use vdj and traktor (possibly serato), decent all in one from all reviews & vids i've seen, decent fx, not sure about sound quality)

VCI-300 mkii (uses serato itch/scratch live which is more industry standard, hi quality)

S4 (nice effects and looks more solid but small jog wheels, only computer, only traktor, $200 more than the other 2)

  • @soccere11 traktor is much better than seroto it gives you a lot more to do and learn seroto is plug and play so with traktor you can have start time and stop time with anything seroto wont have that look at my vid for start time stop time on traktor,

  • @djmoezabian89 also you traktor kontrol s4 is basically the mixdeck and traktor kontrol x1 together plus a few other features if you dont use cds or usb sticks to often i wood good with S4 it does have a 4 chanel mixer and loop recorder plus sample decks

  • @djmoezabian89 I think the best part about the S4 is the loop recorder & sampler but I honestly don't think I need the 4 channels as much. 2 are enough plus the ipod so really 3 on mixdeck, I might be using an spd-s or yamaha dtx-multi12 with mixdeck for recording loops & playing/others

I don't think I'll be needing as much effects or looping capabilities as the X1 but I can always get that down the road if I felt I needed to.

Thank you for your help on this. What about sound quality on events?

  • @soccere11 for sound quality it is good but you should invest in a sound card and the ipod can only do volunme

  • @djmoezabian89 I knew that about the ipod but I'm hoping future updates to the software or firmware can give it more control and if not, i hate ipods anyway mostly because of stupid iTunes.

what do you mean "you should invest in a sound card"? Best reasons for that and what you think is good to go with this. Sorry for the many questions.

  • @soccere11 well it will make the sound quality better but its still good like this you can also plug the ipod in the computer instead of the dj and select traks from the i pod and send it to either section

  • I do not have a laptop would this still be good for me?

  • @chrisman95 yes it is but i think it would be in your best interest to invest in one

  • would you reccomend it to a begginer

  • @Themendoza171 i would definitly but if you buy this you should also buy traktro kontrol x1 with it and upgrade to trakter pro

  • hey nice video i saw lvproductions video and i have a question he said the mixer wont work in midi mode and u cant use for traktor is that true he said the mixer is not midi mapable

  • @sanadsavid it was a good video what he means is if you move a knob on either turntable it will show up on traktor if you move any of the mixer buttons on traktor the buttons will not move but the effect will take place, i dont thing you can map the mixer

  • @djmoezabian89 wht do u recommend this or the american audio vms4

  • @sanadsavid ok so the american audio vms4 definitly appdears to be a better buy it does have new features that many products dont have the only problem i have is that this is one of those products that its good now but a better buy will come real soon you need to know what you like to use effects, hot cues loops samples there is a lot to discuss i will send you a message explaining more

  • @sanadsavid you may also want to see this NativeInstruments Traktor Kontrol S4

it its really well designed it may not have a 2nd mic or built in mouse pad but those arent really to useful for the most part plus NativeInstruments and in my experience very realiable and give a lot of information about their products

  • @djmoezabian89 i know it it's beter than the vms4 but it's a little out of my price range thanks for the info

  • Nice rational editorial. Definitely a better buy...

  • mixdeck is better i have had mine for about 5 months with no problems

  • Ns7 has a third channel that has a hi mid and low control. with the fx bar the ns7 has all the fx that the mixdeck has. the ns7 has 5 hot cue buttons. The mixer has crossfader contour. you can search through your tracks and crates on your computer without having to touch the actual computer. The mixer has a built in controller that allows you to do so. the ns7 is built with high quality materials. the faders and knobs are better quality. its pretty much all metal. It will last longer.

  • Acutually the NS7 has a 3rd channel with Bass MiD and Treble is an Aux input .. I Own an NS7 a friend of mine has a Mixdeck i used it its pretty Cool but I stay with my NS7 its built out of metal and the Mixdeck is plastic ...but its all about personal preference and the budget you have...

  • hello dj moezabian i would like to ask you. Because we know for the fact that Pioneer cdj 1000 mk3 is the club standard today. However we also know that numark mixdeck has a something also that cdj 1000 does not have. So could you compare mixdeck with pioneer cdj 1000 mk3? Your response to my question could help me a lot in order for me to decide to purchased a numark mixdeck. Thanks.

  • Have you used an NS7 extensively?

  • @RatKing59 not that extensively but i have used it a lot to know i do love it but the price is far too much for an all in one with the mixdeck and traktor kontrol x1 you save hundreds and can do a lot more

  • djmoezabian89 u are right and if anyone is willing to pay 1400 dollars on a midi controller then get something like the allen & heath one 4d or dx

  • @qaisdawod see a lot of people are talking about this im not bashing the ns7 I love that thingand i think anyone would like it but the price you pay for an all in 1 thats too high you can buy a whole set for that price the mixdeck with traktor kontrol x1 saves you more than $500 and spinning platters arent that big a deal

  • I have both units. I have chosen the NS7 as my main and mixdeck as the backup. you cant compare the ns7 and the mixdeck . they are both in 2 different classes. the ns7 gives the standard 12 inch turntable feel but in a 7 inch version. the mixdeck is a small cdj controller . NOTE: the mixer of the NS7 is a high quality mixer with professional faders compared to the mixdeck's standard mixer with no crossfader contour option.

  • see for you becuase you own them both the ns7 is the better choice i was talking more about geting your moneys worth i dont think spinning platteris is too big a deal i do like it and prefer it but i dont feel the need to spend that much more you can definitly compare the 2 many djs do not use spinning platers and buying traktor kontrol x1 gives many more features added to the mixdeck and your still only at 1100$

  • Mixdeck Pros: * CD/CD-R/MP3/ USB playback w/ FX. * Built-in MIDI function running Traktor . * Expandable to run Serato (does have FX btw) or any DVS with. * Backup capabilities (i.e. laptop running Traktor/Serato crashes, CD/USB/iPod backup.) Cons: * All-in-one unit. * Made of plastic. * I question Numark's products/ support at times.
  • Very nice comparison. I've debated on getting the Mixdeck vs a Vestax VCI-300, for space and portability, Vestax took it. But I also would like to compare the Mixdeck vs NS7. NS7 Pros: * Spinning platters for turntablist. * Built of metal (thus the price is so high). * Features mapped onto the unit to run flawlessly with Serato Itch. Cons: * All-In-One unit * Serato Itch proprietary * Price * FX is a separate purchase
  • @djtekno You were where I am now. I'm wondering between the Mixdeck and Vestax VCI-300 (and NS7FX too I guess but price is factor for this one). I'm really not sure what to do. I have about $1100 budgeted for this and will start out deejaying mostly just mixing songs and using some effects and a bit of scratching. I've never done any scratching before and only mixing and effects (not live too) so I wouldn't know the difference. Any advice here since I'm undecided??
