Fogarty, great rider, so, so human being. I read his biography, talk about your egomaniac. Can't fault his astonishing ability on the 916 though, in his day he was untouchable.

The 500cc Grand Prix "seemed boring" cause Mick Doohan had been destroying the BEST RIDERS in the World for YEARS. Few riders where as talented as Mick, so the racing wasnt as close as WSBK. Doohan would have flogged Foggy, even more than Kocinski did.
But you are right ... World Superbike from 1995 on had some totally wicked races, and when Foggy had the "eyes on" he was unstopable. Foggy was incredible on a Ducati and a great Champion
@BLANC1978 ok I ment GP500 you know what I mean, and I love two strokes, yes they were really hard to ride the way those guys did, I was a big fan of GP until wayne rainey had his bad accident I was happy for schwantz to win the championship as he did deserve it, but it got very boring after 93 just honda and Doohan winning over and over the racing was boring to watch, but WSBK was on fire with close and intense exciting racing

Foggy is one of my all time great heroes. I met him at Manchester airport 27/05/04 and asked him for his autograph which he very kindly gave to me. He put "To Daz, Carl Fogarty" and put a cheeky "1" next to it! Fuckin ledge!!!
