  • what a seal driver ahaha

  • i love it how people say thats redneck and stupid but who realy is the stupid one the non redneck who takes his things in to get repaird and pays loads or do it at home and save money and also earn experience of how things work ?

  • is this really him? he back?

  • @2braappin Where have you been? he has been back for awhile now.

  • Fixing a tractor shirtless? I thought I was a badass!

  • @smithraymond09029 what iv done that whit only shorts an a straw hat HaHa cool summer day

  • Like A pro MUHAHAHAHAHA :P

  • Thats why when somthing is broken you have to first take the thing like the gear box apart before you buy parts and stuff and find the problem that is common sence and just not guess that it is this and that part.

  • I have a big slide pull that would get that race right out !!!

  • "That was the greasiest slimiest dirtiest hole i ever stuck my fingers in!" XD

  • remove the races (flat part bearing rides on) with a slide hammer dave

  • There are internal bearing pullers with sliding hammers, but you would need a really big one for a tractor.

  • gotta love bad rear wheel bearing :D my Caddy feels like its got rear wheel steering when your going 60+ YOU SHOULD GET A CADILLAC TO FARM!!!

  • that so bad for you

  • that is not the way you lube a bearing lol

  • Whos the skivvy?

  • shitty job of packing that bearing

  • good thing you kept the axle clean then blew all the slag in the tube lol

  • Nice job!!

  • wouldnt it of made sense to look first? ._.

  • axel = axle

  • Damn, Dave I thought you were gone forever. Glad I found you again, subscribed in a heartbeat!

  • wtf would you do that to your daughter? why is sex that strong in the force.

  • if you put the races into the freezer for a couple hours they go in a little easier

  • lol, "dirtiest nastiest slimiest hole i ever stuck my fingers in hahah"

  • @PNWtoyota

Hey now dont talk about his haters like that :p

  • Hi Dave, Y didnt u film the brakes going on? Or is that another installment? JOHN.

  • At Dave's farm... Anything is possible

  • well u said u spent about a grand but im curious how much u paid that crack head to help you

  • good to see you again dave hope all your cats are doing good

  • slide hammer

  • dry docking lol

  • will dave its a good this its just the races for the bearings and the holl axels

  • i think the tractor desirves a new paint job there dave

  • I do like the videos of mischief that Dave posts but I truly like the repair videos keep up the great work Dave, Ive been a fan since you started.

  • u got some jacked muscles still at 50 Dave, good on ya

  • Is it hard to find parts?

  • A slide hammer would pull it out.

  • is it just me or did the gearbox oil look really odd ive never seen it like that

  • How long will those pad bands last on a rig like that? 3-4 years?

  • @MFbuckit 15 years.

  • @Davidsfarmlives hey dave, I was wondering if you had some catnip for sale this year? If you do, could you send me a private message with the paypal account to send the money to please?

  • wtf dave you failed at properly packing those bearings

  • @MILKCARTONFACE there is a grease fitting there for greasing. You don't need to properly pack that bearing when it will be force fed grease with a grease gun.

  • You mean this was a 0 beer job!?

  • 10:32 lol Dave i know that's not true

  • Quote" that was the greasiest, slimmest, dirtiest hole I ever stuck my fingers in, if you know what I mean" Can you explain that a little further, Dave?

  • Why were they not wearing shirts

  • @MrFlipside55 Dave usually does this kind of work in the nude. He is only wearing pants for our benefit.

  • hey Dave...over here we call the tool your after a slide hammer. it has a shaft with a stopper at one end so a weight can be slid back and forth to hit the end of the shaft in the same direction as you want the bearing to come out, cheers.

  • I don't understand Dave why you didn't pull that cover off the gear box, before spending the $570 bucks. lol That's very unusual to see you spend a lot of money like that. Great repair job.

  • lol sexual job!

  • slide hammer would be the tool to use!

  • Thankfully the bearings at the core of the galaxy need no grease. : )

  • Dave,I notice you have a front in loader on your farm,do you use it? I think it could be used in some of your video's,just asking. Thanks!!!!

  • Could you have gotten a worse cameraman? Damn...

Nice work though as always Dave!

  • @ENTERRAPTURE20 Striking Fantasy, Home-Skillet

  • when u gonna fix the lumina?

  • can you take that 500 dollar peice and get ur money back?

  • those look like the wheel bearings on a ch-47.

  • dont like that kid. be the one man show :D

  • Very interesting video. Before watching this video i had never seen anyone work on construction vehicles.Looks like a three beer job. I like the sexual jokes.Specifically the ones about messy holes.

  • Was the source of the clunking motion the bad bearing race ?

  • the less clothing you wear the less chance you have on catching your clothing on fire lol

  • dave's helper is a fuckin moron

  • dave has the most evil laugh of all time.

  • is it me or was this entire job a sex metaphor? :)

  • @TheElgorr no, it is basically sexual oriented

  • @TheElgorr probs ya since this guys a rapist lololololololl

  • @TheElgorr a lot of his vids are like that,he comes across as some sort of a pred

  • @TheElgorr HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YES LOL

  • ladies and gentlemen...we have found Rickem's son haha

  • Daves helper seems a bit goofy

  • hahahahahahahah 10:35 is the funniest part of the whole video lol

  • Is that the young version of Rick? How many beers was this job?

  • damn dave you jacked!

  • loved it

  • Is this an old video or is DAVID really back???

  • @SuperTowlie1 Dave IS really back.

  • @SuperTowlie1 The Legendary David Rock is back dude :D ....

  • so the kid lubes up his hole then?

  • should of changed the zerks and greased them while ya had everythng apart would be easier...

  • grease monkey's :D

  • that sucks pulling the race out of anything

  • Who was that helping? Never seen him before....

  • @RockinGuy1994 he sounds like mini version of Rickem ;]

  • @d3mps3j Yep he dose....

  • Dave, I don't kow if you know it or not, but a FAST weld bead around the bearing race will shrink it and it will litterally fall out in your hand......but make sure you have a glove on that hand!!! That's how we used to get stuck bearing races out of the hubs of big trucks, and other heavy epuipment when I used to work in the truck shop in Bedford.

  • @goofyexponent i will have to try that next time.

  • @goofyexponent yup and you can also heat the race up in 5 or 6 different places around the whole thing with a torch untill its cherry red in streaks, then let it cool down and it will fall out also

  • @goofyexponent Bedford Pa?

  • @MrPinhead11 Bedford, Nova Scotia.

  • That won't work for an internal bearing like this, it would make it expand into the casting. Your method might work for an internal race that is stuck on a shaft.

  • @oisiaa Welding draws stuff inwards. Take a piece plate, and weld it to another piece of plate at a 90* angle, while only welding one edge.....I will bet my left nut it will be tilted towards the side with the weld bead. Heat froma welder will draw metal towards the weld bead. Trust me, this works EVERY time if done right.

  • @goofyexponent that does sound like a good idea i will remember this one

  • Who's the Goof that was with you Dave?...

  • You'v wasted good shirt! :P

  • I seen ur redneck rollercoaster tonight on the speed channel

  • Dave your making this way harder than needs be! Dont burn the old bearing out, just get your mig welder (dont even have to have the gas on), run a nice bead round the whole bearing housing let it cool and it'll pull out by hand.

So it heats it (no where to expand) so when it cools it shrinks simple : D

  • @MrGuvEuroman I do it the same way, works like a charm!

  • David is like Mac Gyver!

  • Great informative video!!!

  • i wonder why he cant just return the 500 dallar gear and get his money back, why does he need to save it for, when there is a slim possibilitie it will never wear out, those original parts where made with great quality back in the day

  • We use slide hammers to pull outer races like that. It works most of the time.

  • I always learn something new in Dave's videos. The how-to videos are tops !

  • putting bearing races in the freezer over night makes them go in with out the pounding that could ruin them

  • Nice video Dave.

I got a bearing puller at Princess auto, for not so much.

And i broke it at the first try .POS

You think ya can do that trick, you do,with a Dremel type thingy?

I just gotta make sure i lube that hole ,before i stick the shaft in and i should be fine right?

What was that clear surface on the inside shaft,i have that to.

Is that a bad inner bearring, ore to much rubbing ore so?

    {And GM,Ford etc.Please make your gastankstraps outta stainless ore aloy.You son s a btches:}

  • Another good how to video.

  • For a second there I thought that kid was Slater from Dazed and Confused.

  • Comment removed

  • @davidsfarmlives saw ya twice tonight on Dumbest Stuff on Wheels tonight on the Speed Channel

  • best part about backhoes..dont need rear jackstands..gota love pads!..haha

  • Just think about how much you saved in labor cost

  • 5:36 Massive bearing mating surface brinelling! Typically bicycle headsets receive this on the crown race on mountain bikes & cyclocross bikes not designed to endure the harsh off road terrain.

10:01 Liberally use some PB Blaster, lets soak for 15 min, then break free. Weatherproof grease by Lucas is best

  • that dude sucks at filming

  • Theeeheeheee innuendooooooos

  • thanks for waring pants

  • the new rickem

  • @DanOlooney

Yeah I was wondering if he was Rickem's cousin or something like that. He needs to learn how to film better and quit with the cheap humor.

  • Hahaha perverts !!!!! 13:44

  • "big nuts are off, yank that shaft"

  • Cool my friend. i enjoy the daves farm how to vids. before your orignal postings i had to remove and replace a tire on amassey ferguson 135 tractor. that WASNT fun by myself

  • So hopefully this fixes the problems that I was having with that tractor last year when I dragged the cavalier out of the lake in this video: /watch?v=JsRtH7JaLuI

I actually thought there was a broken tooth in the transmission, but as you pointed out in this video there were no broken teeth.

  • I'd change the gear oil too, It may have been contaminated with Sparks and molten Metal, A knockout tool can easily be made to withdraw that old bearing racer!

  • aint as bad as my 55 international and dave i might need ta ask ya some questions about how to fix it

  • dave , don't they give refunds on unused parts? If you had to hit the axles to get them in doesn't that damage the bearing?

  • 09:34 looks like dave is wearing a G banger hahaha

  • @tsitmeer well i not doubleentendresongs, i dont look at daves ash. i look at what dave is working on lol

  • Looks like a lot of fun.

  • so what if that guy has problems he is there helping dave more then you guys have ever did.

  • @gangsterbryce agreed. when i go there. i wil bring my tools with me. 2 reasons, one is to visit canadas number 1 fun park, and 2 to work in canada , even if im only paid wiht a beer lol. , BUT main reason is if dave allows me to be there. i will end up driving somehting. and along wiht the 20 gallons of gas i will supply i will assist with any needed repairs on anything. it is only courtesy after all

  • safety needs

    pants

    shoes

    eye protection

    SHIRTS NOT REQUIRED

  • Damn Dave Thanks!! I sell Heavy Duty Parts and I've never been in the shop to see em installed.. Kinda cool!

  • Who the hell is this guy?

  • @mch51802 The guy holding the camera for most of the time was MegaCrazyhillbilly

  • @mch51802 Dave's apprentice needs his own channel lol

  • dave the best way too get a bearing race like that out is to heat it up cherry red in the spots and when it cools down the race will contract and be easy to get out.

  • Love that dozer & both the vids on it thanks again for sharing Dave u seem happy lately, hope it contuines,as my second wife is packing up & moving out,wow 26 yrs out the door ,yhink I am going to by a Dozer, lol.

  • When did kid rock become dave's new farm bitch

  • hammer boy looks like a meth head

  • Do we like watching Dave fix stuf? :)

  • did you ever sue that bitch that fucked you over?

  • love the vids you have been doing dave

  • The guy seems cool. Now, get to work on his Volvo, I wanna see it haul ass.

  • A short weld bead from a Mig welder on the bearing surface will shrink the race so that it can be removed by hand.

  • ...another way to get out that inner race, is to run a quick hot bead along it, then quench it...since it will cool faster than the outer casing it will shrink and you can pull it out with ease.

  • this kid is retarded... never bring him back

  • That guy helping Dave looks like the hippie dude from The Bad News Bears movie

  • good to know that grease fitting is there, i'll have to grease the one we have now lol ;)

  • i'm a heavy duty mechanic... and where i work, we replace bearings when the hard surfacing on them starts to wear through. the worst i have seen is minor brinelling. that is the worst set of bearings i have ever seen...

  • step 1) pressure wash.

  • Sandblast that rig and throw a fresh coat of paint on it

  • @jon998811 i agree , he could make it look awesome

  • Why didn't you make part 1 & 2 and show all the repair? But great vid Dave, I like watching you do repair jobs like this. Don't forget to grease those tits more often. lol

  • I've used a mig welder before, just tacking a couple areas onto the bearing race, and she pops right out.

  • It should get a fresh new paint job

  • What Dave spending money?....lol

  • Good vid Dave.

  • Comment removed

  • so how many beer job was this?

  • @rileyblizzard2 would have to be atleast a 12 packer

  • does dave smoke?

  • strange, its now october in canada, and dave is not a wearing a shirt, this video reminds me of summer.

  • @MrYammyb2 Well.. this week been pretty hot

  • @MrYammyb2

its been warm here this week

  • @zackn291 here as well, 5 hrs more north too

  • that guy looks like rick he laughs like rick hes got ricks hair style... is that his son?

  • @lejink I was thinking the EXACT same thing hahaha

  • Don't forget to charge for Time fot the Tax deductions !

  • some good advise from one to another . You can also run a bead of weld on the race and when the weld cools the race will draw in and sometimes will slide out if not while you got the welder out weld you a couple bolts to the race that will fit the slide hammer or anything you can hit from reverse with a hammer.

I know you know all the tricks just didn't see ya use this one. Great video and work.

  • this is extraordinarily uncomfortablee, who is that new kid?

  • wait a sec, did I miss something, or were there NO beers involved in this job!?!?
