Well, it's because this bus doesn't sound like a Cummins engine. This bus including the rest of the New Flyer D40LF buses has the Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine with the Allison World B400R WTEC automatic transmission. There aren't any buses in Flint that has any of the Cummins engine. However, the MCI D4500CT buses has the Caterpillar engine except the coach #1183 that has the Detroit Diesel Series 60 EGR engine. There were also the TMC RTS buses that has the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine.
