@bbeC121: Is he in high school now? If he's going to the same hs as she did, i'd feel kinda bad for him. Everyone there were such assholes to her after she won. Caused her to not graduate. :\ I would know. I went to the same hs as her. Though she had won before I started going there. Choir/music teacher there taught her. Told us all about it. Don't try out for Canadian Idol in hs. It screws up your life. Wait till you graduate. :)

Actually, Rex's dad got it for him. Even though he's a Newfoundlander, he's been a fan of the team ever since he was a kid. His dad got one made up for him, and gave it to him before the finale, and he put it on before they anounced the winner.

Thank you. Your reply explained everything. Obviously, he is a Leaf fans, but wearing the jersey before the voting finished would be risky I thought and wondered if he lost because of that. As he only put the Jersey on just before the results, Melissa won fair and square and did not receive any negative voting against Leafs.

I understand hockey. I was within three feet of the Stanley Cup twice last month. My all time favourite Leaf is the Swede, Bjore Salming. I am a life-long Flyers fan ('sorry') and admirer of Bobby Orr like every hockey fan. But why risk Habs, Oilers,..and Flames' fans voting for Melissa because he was wearing a Leafs' jersey??
