nice video 'analogger', thanks for sharing your creative spirit with those of us who appreciate your efforts.
I for one do not appreciate the critical comments directed at your music by clowns who think that their opinions matter.....and of course they don't make one bit of difference to anybody....generally these critical comments are coming from insecure & talentless haters, who probably couldn't manage an original creative idea if their lives depended on it.
Most everything goes thru a Mackie into a TC Electronic Finalizer which converts the analog signal to digital. The digital out of the Finalizer goes into an M-Audio firewire 410 and then into my computer.
Yes! Whether its turning knobs to tune manufactured metal strings to a specific note in order to "play notes" which are often amplified electronically enhanced thru vacumn tubes and paper speakers which are then altered by a variety of knobs which are turned in a myriad of ways to enhance the tone, and then placed thru mixing boards with hundreds of knobs which are constantly being "turned" to alter and augment the sound. Turning knobs -its a beautiful thing! Haha! peace
thanks! a lot of the stuff I have sold. I constantly buy and sell things...I get something, use it for awhile, then sell it to try something new. I wish I could keep it all - but that isn't the reality. If you are patient and watch Ebay you can get some really good deals.
hi...the silver rack unit is a bass guitar pre-amp made by SWR. Its called the Mini Mo. Its great for recording bass direct. Most everything on it is analog. The overdrive is fat, the bass synth section tracks the pitch of your bass or whatever and it has a really nice analog lowpass filter. I don't think the Mini Mo is made anymore. They originally made the Mo Bass which included a 300 watt amp section. Then, they just made the pre-amp section which I use. Found it on Ebay.
That's what DJs should do, or at least what great DJs do creating their own music instead of simply changing viniles or CDs...See Fat Boy Slim, Apollo 440, Daft Punk !!!
excellent sounds. nice set up too.......... thought i was the only one! but no their is you too...i do the same thing sit in my studio and make a cross between noise and music... and totally agree with you its a therapy in this world as music nowadays aint what it used to be?! or could be... synths tend to be used to imitate instruments and not create new sounds :o]... i am sure Busoni would be impresed..
hi, maybe stupid question, but i love this vid, is there a way to reproduce the sound at about 2.47-3.00 with an electric guitar? which stuff do I need to do this in a cheap but effective way?TX
That sound is just three oscillators droning away - but one is going thru a pitched delay which adds a 5th harmony. You could probably get close running your guitar thru a Line 6 Filter Modeler and a delay with a pitch shifter. There is also a Lexicon PCM-80 Reverb which adds a lot of depth. A good looper could do the trick as well. You just keep layering single drone notes on your guitar until you build up a wall of sound. Good luck!
Its like therapy for me. Seriously. I try and create something everyday. Sometimes I zone out and sit and tweak knobs for 8 hrs without eating. I probably have over 100 hrs of music. I often record something then put it away for a month or so and forget about it. My goal is to then later "hear" it for "the first time." Kind of like someone else made it. Sweet.
its fantastic :0)

I just want to make it clear, that I love drone music, that was not my objection.
I just feel this is bad drone music....silly noises over and over do not constitute good drone music, or any good music in general.

You don't know shit about drone
