@kairi10116 Thanks! I didn't tab this one, but the chords are C, G, C, G, C, G, C, G, Fmaj7 (with open G string, ie 1-3-3-0-1-0), G, Am, G during verse, and Fmaj7, G, C, G (x3), Fmaj7, G during "we tried, we failed" and Em add9 (0-2-4-0-0-0) during the break.
Hey man, I recently saw a video of Johnny playing Jeane and he's playing it just like you do as far as I can tell. He was playing it on his J-160E with Sandie Shaw, in a park in front of a bunch of schoolkids and Morrissey.
@smithsonguitar Hey, I saw that video too!! There's another video here of a live Smiths version where he plays it with slightly different chord voicings (bar chords for the C and G chords at 3rd fret). That's probably also how it's played on the record although the C chord sounds suspiciously like a Csus2.
That's what I love to hear - one guitar sounding like two without sounding muddy. It's the whole point of Marr's style and not easy to replicate. Great job as usual. :)
Yes!! You rule! You nailed the rhythm and I love how you arpeggiate at the right moments. This is how to play it. You should invest in basic recording equipment. I bought two mics, software, and a recorder for like $350. You can get a great pro sound. You'd sound even better. I only suggest it cuz you have crazy skill.
Well done my friend i am totally blown away by this!....can you give me some idea of what the third chord is that you play after the c and g shapes?,,,cheers
Thanks, baldyman123! The third chord is a sort of Fmaj7 with added 9th and no third. I'm sure you're familiar with it. It's played like this 1-3-3-0-1-0.
Great rendition (as always, I must add).
all the best

You guys have a really classic sound. Well done, I like all of your videos.
Have you guys ever tried A White Sport Coat by Marty Robbins? I think you guys would nail it.
Keep the videos coming, thanks!
