It's no biggy seeing hockey players fight eachother that end up being in the same team later. My friend and I fight eachother when we played hockey back then, and it never made us hate eachother. It's part of the fun.

Sharp centered the line in the postseason that had Pecky at LW. Fighting is just part of the game. No bad blood usually comes from these unless someone breaks the code and hits someone who is down or something like that.

A take down mean almost nothing in a hockey fight, punches count not takedowns. Anyone can knock the other player to the ice, a brawler is one who stays on their feet and trades punches. Kopecky slight edge in this one.

At 57 seconds in, that is where Kopecky tags Sharp and draws blood. Sharp jerks his head back right after he is hit. Before that Kopecky hit him 2 or 3 times when Sharp had his head down. Sharp threw 2 good ones and connected. The first punch stung him.

Nice fight, Sharp is a good player. As a Wings fan, I wish Kopecky would mix it up some more. He's supposed to replace Dallas Drake in the lineup, but Drake really brought more energy and was always willing to drop the gloves. Great to see a couple Original Sixers renew the rivalry!

He may have thrown 5 punches, but fights aren't decided on punches thrown. They are decided on punches connected. Only 2 connected from each fighter. Then sharp knocked Kopecky off balance and kopecky got taken down. Probably a draw in this situation, but if I had to chose I'd go with sharp because of the take down.

They each get a 5 minute penalty unless there is a real instigator for the fight. But as long as it's a clean fight there's no suspensions or anything, the real idea of the fight is to get your team pumped up if they're not playing well lol.

this replay doesn't do it justice, but on Detroits feed, you can see the upper cut Kopecky landed which split his head. In this video at :56 is when you catch it. Good punch, good fight. I love the sport and I really enjoy the fights...you don't see the Wings fighting very often (with exception to Drake now...woot!) so it's a blast to see someone from Hockeytown drop the gloves.
