Ehh I can agree with some of the stuff you said. But trigonometry, Pythagorean theorem and SohCahToa are really important in the majors of engineering and physics. Heck the reason for those speed limit signs you see when making a turn onto or off a highway is due to physics. They use the banking angle and frictional forces to calculate the right velocity (speed) the car to travel at etc. Gosh i never knew i would be defending physics, I still hate it tho -__- Lol

Roofers use geometry to figure out the area in order to purchase the right about of materials. Algebra is used to figure out taxes most of the time. Geometry is even used to figure out how much fertilizer is need for a lawn. Overall, you can say that math is not useless especially to many people that go into architecture, engineering, building. If advance math is needed for these jobs, why limit your future by not learning it? Hell, its free education.

However, engineers do NOT do complex equations by hand. We have COMPUTERS that do these things now. People will immediately bitch, "What if we don't have computers anymore??!"
