Apparently the first roundabout in the U.S. was built in Nevada in 1990. The first roundabout freeway interchange was built in Colorado in 1995. They have become much more widespread in the last decade. There are currently about 2,000 in the U.S. Also apparently the first modern roundabout in Ohio was opened Aug. 21, 2006 in Garfield Heights (near Cleveland).
oh ok, well i think they are great, but the bigger they are the more dangerous it gets i reckon. i have seen heaps of car crashes here in Sydney on big roundabouts. i personally think its better than 4 stops signs in an intersection like the ones i saw in CA, it keeps better flow of traffic.
are they seriously new in the US??

@87Echo Yes, Most people dont even know how to use a roundabout. They have only appeared in AR in the last two - three years.
