What I love about this song is that it starts with a terribly out of tune guitar and has that really sleazy sax break, but it works! Rosie's voice ties it all together. It's a punk rock masterpiece 16 years before punk!

I absolutely LOVE this song because it can apply to ANYONE that you LOVE in your life. She never mentions a boyfrind, etc.... My "Angel Baby" is my grand-son!!! I've sang this to him since the day he was born!!! 10-17-2011. 6 days ago!!! He's in Neonatal Intensive Care. He decided to join us a few weeks early, but he's doing just FINE!!! My daughter, his mom, thought I was NUTS with this song, so I e-mailed it to her cell phone @ hosp. Now she GETS it! She loves it too!

@TheTIMWING I know of a similar situation in that The Rivileers did "A Thousand Stars In The Sky" in 1954, and then Kathy Young And The Innocents did it in 1960, but I can find no evidence anywhere that anyone did "Angel Baby" before Rosie And The Originals. If your statement is true, then please point us towards some proof.
