  • great performance by a real "live" (as opposed to "skeletal") choir - sound quality ist hideously ear-rending, though...

  • very beautiful

  • I sang this in 8th grade. We did it MUCH faster, but I never got to hear us. This is fabulous!

  • very nice ^_^

  • quality.

  • Very, very good. I've sung this in a mixed choir, and an all male-choir, but you ladies nailed it. Your blend was wonderful, and it didn't sound "open and airy". No intonation issues either!

  • not supposed to move during a performance except your mouth and vocal chords

  • @MultiKoolKat and thats y ur chior proably looks like a deer caught in headlights with ZERO energy watsoever, theres no rule that says u can't move during a performance, they're obviosly not at a competition or festival, my district conductor told us to do the same thing just to keep time cause it went frum 4/4 time to 3/4 time and it just helped us to keep the rythm. ur just ignorant (def. of ignorant, unknowing/ arrogant in topic or descusion)

  • @hauljunkie4965 dude calm down I'm just not used to seeing that n stuff, god, somone is super over protective...

  • @MultiKoolKat im not overprotetive im just serioue when it comes to music

  • 0:29

  • Yes, some problems with Latin pronunciation, but overall a very nice performance. I love the tempo and your balance and blend are very good!! Great job!

  • chill balance and tonality. but the latin sucked.

  • maybe you should practice Latin!!!

This is no Latin what is sung.

  • Beautiful.

  • I just sung this for Kentucky all-state choir :D

    Wonderful performance by you all!

    Alto !!!!!!

  • we have to sing this song for my varsity high school choir I think you did REALLY good and the people who think other wise are assholes

  • It's quite good, but I have to agree that it would be better if you worked on your pronunciation -- if the vowels don't match it's very difficult to stay on the right pitch, and that was obvious in some of the more difficult places here. Overall not bad, though.

  • the "t"s are too strong. but it's really good otherwise. it actually sounds pretty perfect otherwise. :)

  • very bad pronunciation!

  • What stupid comments. No-one knows what Latin sounded like.

  • Please sing in latein, not in "latein"-englisch!!!

  • @Vochallensis Spell "Latin" right please

  • the chior im in is singing this but we have the guys too.

  • hey i have this song for a festival tomarrow but it aint like that its very simple this sounds 100% better than the 1 we sing!

  • love this we have this for a festivle thing soon! soooo good

  • can you lessen the AMERICAN ACCENT? this is a latin.!!!!

  • I sang that and my choir sounded exactly like that

  • It could be, that both of you have the same scores :-))

  • Daaamn..

This is probably one of the best choirs I've seen on youtube.

I hope when we learn this, we're this good.

  • Really, really lovely and well done.

  • the major chord on POPULIS is amazing.

  • wow, can't tell that these girls are american AT ALL...

  • we have to sing this for our concert!! GREAT JOB!! <3

  • We sung this song at region choir. magnificent! beautiful vowels... to fast at the end for my taste. I prefer to put a little of decrescendo at mirabillia EE-Us. More depth and 1:29-1:30 that was a huge breath. Isn't it better to take breaths at different moments? Beautiful performance!

  • We had to do this song, and it was really cool!

  • i'm doin this song in four part harmony =] and this song explain the anunciate[ Anun-SI-ate] and benedicite [bene-de-CHI-te] someone mind explainin?

  • It's "annuntiate" and "benedicite." Using the Italian pronunciation (Ecclesiastical or Roman rules), the cluster "ti" followed by a vowel will become [tsi] (there's a little T before the S sound). Any time there is a "c" followed by an "i" or "e," the "c" goes from being pronounced as a [k] to being the English "CH" sound you here there.

  • are you all saprono's?

  • i see what you mean but i can hear alto's a bit =3 im doing this song at my skooooool

  • I am doing a different one in all county

  • were doing this at my school and u guys r like a gazillion x better! good job!

  • lacking depth in the vowels, though very technically sound. some pronunciation problems, i prefer ah-noon-chee-AH-teh. more standardized and more widely accepted, though "SEE-ah-teh" is typical for ecclesiastical latin in some regions in austria.

  • My middle school advanced choir is singing this song in the same version for region, but with the basses and the tenors...its cool how the girls get to sing their part here.

  • NOt bad as a womens only song. I'm doing this song in my choir. Check out our version on my profile :-)

  • Spectacular voices, they should try the Latin text in a less American accent, but nice performance.

  • They move around so much, it's cool! Maybe a bit too much, but you can tell they're into it. Awesome.

  • Welch wunderbar homogener Gesamtklang! Wie engagiert die Sängerinnen bei der Sache sind!

Besser kann man die Musik nicht interprteieren!

    Gratulation!

  • the advanced choir that im in is going to sing that exact version! go spring oaks middle!! looking forward to singing it in washington d.c. this march!!

  • What quality voices!!! I'm jealous!

  • It's pronounced "anunCHIate, not like in english." I agree somewhat with hmhbanal, but your blend is very very good.

  • Do you know, that the original is written a fith lower. Its in the origin composed for a male choir.

  • my select ladies choir and i are singing this for UIL in a couple of weeks, it's pretty amazing but we have trouble in the "etbenedicite" part, we sharp terribly at the end, all the time. is this 4 part?

  • i did this is middle school region for tmea 4 part there is a 4 part version

  • This is fabulous!

I LOVE it in F Major!

    And I LOVE your blend!

    Keep posting and keep singing!

    martin

  • Don't emphasize much on the "t" and it should be modulated. It's a renaissance period song. Tsk.
