Now that you mention it, this is actually why hardly any 'boy' in a cartoon actually sounds like one. They either have a woman's voice to replicate the high pitched tones of a young boy's voice, or a mature man voice. But they always avoid real young boy voices, most likely because they're not gonna stay like they are forever. In 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' (Dutch dub) it struck me how Aang actually sounded like a young boy.

It doesn't matter in The Simpsons though, every voice is goofy there.
