  • loving the dancing..

  • Thanks for posting this quality clip. What a sad loss for Australia when Yvonne was taken tragically. The sixties were certainly a golden age for Aussie music

  • in pigiama..eheh

  • I'm always amused to hear Australian re-makes of US hits. Though usually they are VERY good...

  • i like the track suit

  • Such a joy to watch compared to today's manufactured pop 'idols'.

  • Greay song, J.S. Bach's Minuet in G Major turned on it's head and set to a sledge-hammer four-on-the-floor beat.

  • Finding all of these songs posted that were never released on vinyl. Wow, what a beautiful girl with a lovely voice. So sad that she met such a horrible end. Did she have any children I wonder?

  • Sad to hear that she was murdered. I remember watching her on tv.

  • From the U.S., listening to these Aussie videos is like hearing all new songs!...since we never heard them before. A lot of great stuff too (especially the Allusions). Thanks so much to all the posters for sharing...60's music all the way!

  • They were great times, and Yvonne was one of my favorites. I'll never forget reading in the paper about her death. It was one of those moments....I was stunned. These clips are a precious reminder of her talent, and is very much appreciated. I have to say too that I adored Terry Walker from the Strangers. My heart goes out to his nephew.

  • Im Terry Walkers (the strangers) nephew so i kinda grew up with all these guys. Aunty Yvonne was such a lovely lady- so beautiful and talented. My family was shattered by her terrible death. God Bless her.

  • Fantastic track - well ace

  • Great track !!!,.ktf.

  • Well said.

  • Tip top.

  • Gracias Sallie6 por estas joyas musicales.

The best American music has been produced from de 60's.

  • What a doll.

  • Yvonne lived behind my grandparents place in Braybrook..she had this huge Clark pool in her backyard..she once let me and my friend swim in it..she was never big headed about her success..its funny Braybrook was a place full of famous pop singers..jamie redfern used to live on ballarat road and you could see his gold reords on the lounge room wall.."screamy" roy eames from the blue echoes would cruise the streets in a flash car..braybrook strange as it may sound rocked in the 70's!!

  • This song is actually entitled "May My Heart Be Cast Into Stone", recorded by The Toys in 1966.

  • To tell you the truth, I prefer this version. It's got much more four-on-the-floor WHOOMMPF action. Also, the magnificent absurdities of the Elizabethan madrigal-meets-Wigan-stomper equation are somehow much more to the fore on this version than on that of The Toys.

  • Hi thanks for a great memory Does anyone know of any of her relatives i would like to contact them

  • Thanks for posting. Such a sad end to this wonderfully talented woman.

  • In 1985 she was found murdered in Sydney. She had been working there as a waitress since moving from Perth. Her spouse was later convicted of the crime.

A sad loss to Aussie female artists....up there in Rock n Roll Heaven along side some of the best. Vale Yvonne.

  • Another fabulous video from a girl with a fabulous voice! Thank you Sallie.

I wonder what's happened to Yvonne. Does anyone know?

  • Yvonne was murdered by her estranged husband in Sydney in 1985. She was my best girlfriend and I miss her so much. The funniest story was, she made me dinner one night and served me fresh oysters. I HATE oysters. I swallowed the 6 of them and then ran to the bathroom and threw them up. There was no a mark on them. Yvonne and I laughed for hours after that.
