I did it pretty quickly, but I didn't really get to use it that long, since I prestiged. I don't think I'll prestige again... it isn't really necessary. Take my advice.

What happens is you lose ALL of your weapons, accomplishments, challenges, perks, your custom classes, and your rank goes back to Private. You start all over, and regain everything, going through the ranks again. All you get is a 6th custom class, and a new insignia, just to show your high notoriety. You can Prestige up to 10 times. I don't see a point to it, and I surely will not do it again.
