This is where it's at. Seen 'em with Madness way back, when they were on tour releasing their first album. I was more impressed with these guys!!! I try to catch 'em every time.... about the only soulful reggae group I've seen in the US.

@skinitimski I heard somewhere that they kinda just pick up old organs from Craigslist and stuff so they get them for really cheap. But I'm sure he's got a few that are really good that he uses for important stuff.

Very nice sound from these guys from Aggrolites. They have a touch of "War", one of my favorite bands from way back. I like the organ play and now if they could add a touch of the harmonica (see the great Lee Oskar)

the feel is more reggae but as far as the theroy of the song its ska, wat with the guitar on the and of notes as aposed to beats 2 and 4

Actually, the beats on 2 and 4 is whatmakes reggae, playing the beats between the notes, so on all the "and"s, makes ska.

this is second generation ska. not so much this song, but the band in general is part of a newer ska movement with more reggae elements. if you saw them live you would think it was ska.

its hard to fault them but if there is one problem with the aggrolites it's that on "Reggae Hit L.A." they had too many instumentals and didnt use Jesse's voice enough
