  • every airline has its own rules. Pilots in Turkey don't eat the same meal. But the pilots of AA do. So it depends on the airline and the country

  • good that is in 1080P

  • Watch the coffee drop on the gps computer things and plane crashes

  • I thought two pilots are not allowed to eat the same meal. Or is it just a myth?

  • I was led to the belief that all the pilot crew were served different meals, because of the risk of food poison.

    Help me on his one

    Thank you Rob From Canada

  • Meal time for a pilot its better in airbus because of the table :)

  • pilots difficult to eat :)

  • Hey great video! I was just wondering if you're transfering the meal from the packaging thing to the plate and if it drops, what do you do? also where do you transfer them for the passengers? in the cabin or in the galley?Where do you put the packaging and the plates after the service?I saw the cart , where do you place the nuts, desserts salads and the dressings? Thanks. :))

  • Two pilots having the same meal?

  • Very insightful vid and it makes me respect FA's even more now that I see how much work goes on during preflight let alone during flight.

  • American Airlines......we warm your nuts

  • Pilots have the same cakes huh ?

  • It has to suck to be those pilots. Fly to Rio. Four day layover. Fly home.

  • @Cmoney0013

    hahaha

  • Yeah, lets give the terrorists a video on how to pass themselves off as flight attendants. It would be an obvious red flag if a flight attendant didn't know how to make an insert, but thanks to your video, that won't be a problem. I am sorry but I just don't get why this video was made. That is what new hire training is for. It is certainly sad to see how much of an attention starved society we've become.

  • @AAGAL1998 Are you serious? Any genuine flight attendant can spot a fake a mile away and this video will do little to help a impostor bluff his or her way through especially since each FA has an assigned station so there will be a conflict between the fake and real #5 or whatever # FA.

  • @AAGAL1998 - you actually think someoneis going to use a plastic bin full of ice and sodas as a way to gain access to the flight deck? Wouldn't the fact the pilots know the FAs from the preflight briefing and don't recognize the intruder put the kibosh on that plan? Perhaps you should be a little more concerned about the fact that employees are eating the same meals as high-revenue passengers when your company is struggling financially.

  • Great, gi

  • i had no idea that much has to be done be for people can eat lol

  • If they are in flight isn't it a little dangerous to for both pilot and co-pilot to have a tray on their laps?

  • If they are in flight isn't it a little dangerous to for both pilot and co-pilot to have a tray on their laps?

  • So hard to make the coffee .. 4 buttons to press ...

  • Waow this is cool as hell!

  • I am completely awestruck by learning what a Flight Attendants Job Duties consist of by watching this Video. This Goddess Angel of the Sky with the purest sacred Wings is making me sweat just following her from this side of the lense. "The Sooner You can get on the Airplane and get things going and Set Up the Better You Service Will Be" at 0:49. OMG She is in constant Flawless Fluid Motion. On top of all She is doing to make the Pax's flight more enjoyable She will also Save Your Life. Swooning

  • American flight attendants usually behave like pit bulls (old ugly pit bulls) with too much lipstick. I only fly Asian carriers even if it costs more.

  • @rsattahip racist

  • @DaMagicConchShell

There is no such thing as the American "race" or did you not know that?

  • @rsattahip oh okay, then I'll just call you ignorant. just because you had a bad encounter with one bad American doesn't mean you should stereotype all of us with that one bad encounter. it is the same as we shouldn't stereotype all people from thailand as a transgendered

  • WOW....this brings back so many memories for me... I flew for TWA from 75 to 2001 and then went to work for Alaska...just retired after 36 years of flying! I worked our 767's to CDG(And I am fluent in French, German, Swedish, Italian, and Dutch) I was also on our wonderful L-10's....Man G Duty really brought back memories for sure...I remember chateau Briand as well.....Thank you for posting....safe journies to you... Robert TWA Flight Service Manager JFK INTERNATIONAL RETIRED. :)

  • You are extremely professional and I would love to be able to fly with F/A’s like yourself. It is so lacking today to have F/A’s that really have a passion to do their job. Thank you and Great Job!

  • i would like some hot nuts in my mouth ;-)

  • I fucking love airplane food.

  • @Chromeo33 Your a sick man lol. I hate it, its outdated fancy nonsense from the days when only the very rich could fly. When im huddled up in my little seat watching a movie i want a Hotdog or some other kind of comfort food.

  • bad crm..

  • Aren't pilots supposed to eat different dishes??? I know that's what they do on Air France ...

  • Excuse me missy.....

Did you think about asking your fellow flight attendants if they might like a some mixed nuts or cheese? The flight attendants are catered NOTHING to eat. The pilots get a full first class meal + chateau or pasta. Seriously?????????

    Seriously??????

  • what airline is this?

  • what the hell one of them needs to fly the plane while the other one eats

  • it's definetely American Airlines

  • Was it a 757 or 767?

  • @DL757200 thats a B767

  • @DL757200 AA 767-300

  • @fly4fun This is GIG/MIA right ?

  • I feel so gay when I eat in the plane with those tiny trays and little cups

  • Delta has hot nuts too. yum.

  • I wonder what airlines that was. Most likely Delta. But someone can answer it. Please.

  • @dwaynewade349

    SHE SAID IT WAS AMERICAN.

  • Wow !! I think this is one of the few vids about preparing the food in C Class !! I always wanted to see this !! Thank you so much ! Greetings from The Netherlands !!

  • @watericed777 ever heard of a fish eye lens

  • The images seem wrap lol

  • Great video but your camera seems to have some issues...it seems rounded or altering the image.

  • i thought 2 pilots cannot have the same meal?

  • @lowjinhuigary As explained in the blog post that goes with this video, the pilots can have the same meal and eat them at the same time.

  • @fly4fun ...and that applies at this airline in this country. Other airlines/countries may have different rules.

  • excellent video! this was great information!

  • I am surprised to see both of the pilot's eating at their cockpit position's, at the same time as each other. For one where they are eating is dangerous. They have plastic cups each on the edge of a tray, they are surrounded by flight controls, could be disastrous if spilt. Also both being served at the same time? Who is flying? Yes I am fully aware of auto pilot, but someone needs to be able to input flight control signals quickly in case of emergency. Who is monitoring, who is eating?

  • Those pilots seem right ignorant bastards, they have the best job ever!

  • Love American, good video! One of the pilot looked kinda cranky...

  • @scorpgc i know right i was just thinking that , the capatain (left seat) seemed like an ass lol

  • i like my warm nuts

  • I don't understand that she serves the two pilots their meals at the same time?

That is an absolute no-no where I work.

  • I read the blog, and i see where they keep the food and drinks. Where exactly is the cart they serve passengers with? Ex.- drinks, peanuts, etc.

  • Wow ! Loved it !

  • OMG ... the captain is a HUNK... he is just GORGEOUS !!!!!

  • @babyguguzaka Pilots are nasty! They sleep with more people than a hooker.

  • i thought it was just unpack and serve lol

  • the pilot is kinda a dick head

  • I think i seen her in a porn video

  • What aircraft is this?

  • @emirates772 767-300

  • do you want some hot nuts

  • Cockpit Queen. But, a seems like a nice gal

  • Do not interrupt cockpit crew when they are reading check list.

  • This is a great video! Nice job!! Wish WE got crew meals...haahaaa!!

  • What a great FA :)

  • ive never flown in a plane before and i know where everything is in the cockpit and have a basic understanding of it...i play flight simulator way too much...

  • I've been on a flight to New York with the flight attendant that appears early in the video, the one with a ponytail. His name is Geromy, or something like that. Amazing crew! AA flights are really good (at least in first class) ...

  • ...both eating at the same time...

  • you guys are great! Preparing meals is more complex than a bomb run (and the food looks a lot better than the IF box lunch chicken I recal!)

  • Great video

  • she is so lovely, such a real american stewardess!! :-))))

  • @2asek

Yep, she`s really lovely like a cabin Mommy. :)

  • Nice video. But please please please pull your hair back and polish your look. I know your job is SAFETY but the last thing I need to see is your strings of hair on my food. Look at the other airlines from Europe and Asia. PULL YOU HAIR BACK AND POLISH IT UP!!!

  • Interesting video.

    Thank you for posting!!!

  • It looks like the flight attendant pays more attention to the cockpit than the passengers. Giving pilots nuts is nuts. Imagine if they choke on nuts. Thats nuts.

  • @filthiestfish Are you just another pariah to video editing? Your "looks like" changes a lot when there's a whole group of flight attendants catering for passengers that don't appear in this cut... The pun on nuts is supposed to be funny, but pilots are human (fyi) and can "choke" on anything solid or liquid, and in a long flight they need an input of real energy, not silly puns of figured imagination :)

  • @patatacatalana Was I talking to you? Why dont people mind their own F'N business? Catalan de mierda

  • why dont hese pilots steer the plane.. they eat with that plate on their legs.... looks scary...

  • @Babbelbet

    Ever heared of autopilot?

  • @warminator yeah but they need to concentrate on the plane i would think.... why dont they

  • The Captain looks so fierce!

  • 757-200 or 767?

  • This is so cool! I love the 767! I wish i can be on one right! :)

  • Folks, believe it or not; my best experiences flights ever were in Ethiopian and Kenya airlines!

Yes, they do fly to Bangkok, Hong Kong and cities in China. Nice, clean, friendly, good meals in smaller Boeing 767/777. Try it, you'll like it; I guarantee!

  • Those pilots have the personality of a wet mop.

  • I cant wait to be Lufthansa pilot

  • cool video!

  • What airline is this??

  • @beijingcentro My guess is AA based on that shot out of the door in the beginning of the video; it looked like the AA livery.

  • @beijingcentro American

  • I'm in love. I want to be a flight attendant and boy this job looks fun! It's a lot more work than I originally thought!

  • Good video, interesting and informative! : )

  • Nice ponytail.

  • Eating in flight deck would be not a problem in Airbus, but it is pain in the ass when you are in a Boeing cockpit and then air pockets hits while you are eating.

  • @AcepilotC172

Sounds like someone is jelly. It's okay, we understand that you were rejected because of ... well let's just say the way you look plays a part in the service industry ...

  • @azntranc3951 I am actually a ground ops employee for another carrier...I personally have had to deny her boarding on our flights on many occassions for bad behaviror. She is a fucking bitch....

  • @AcepilotC172

ah. What's ground ops mean ? Obviously I'm not in the airline industry ...

  • @AcepilotC172 Did she let your nuts get cold?

  • @artistgmg LMAO at that one

  • @AcepilotC172 stfu how wod u noe that

  • what is this airline

  • @khalilandyouknowit American airlines

  • One thing I'm never going to run out of on AA - warm nuts.

  • there's only 2 food carts? Also, what do they use when there prepping the cockpit trays, like that counter top next to the galley at 4:09?

  • 4:08 Isn't one pilot supposed to eat one choice, and the other pilot the other choice? In case of food poisoning?

  • @awangj1 The answer to these and more questions are found in the accompanying blog post that went with this video. See description for link.

  • @fly4fun why can't you just answer it here? lol

  • @awangj1 The pilot had the pasta while the first officer had the meat and the relief pilot had the meat as well. It's the first 2 crew members (pilot and first officer) who can't have the same meal.

  • @awangj1 american pilots dont need to eat diferent stuff mainly because they dont operate the plane it does this by itself.Americans suck.

  • @awangj1 i asked a pilot about that and he said that they are in fact allowed to eat the same food... and even if they get sick they can still land that plane.

  • @awangj1 that was correct, one of the pilots is not having it so it doesn't matter if the other two are having the same main meal.

  • @awangj1 Getting ready to ask the same!

  • @awangj1 That flight has three pilots, so with two food choices. Two will eat the same. The third pilot (the relief pilot) will eat the other option.

  • @awangj1 Maybe there are more than 2 pilots on the flight so that they can have that same meal, but if there's another pilot onboard, he/she/they would have to have the other meal.

  • @awangj1 yes

  • I wanna fly that 767!

  • no tray tables for pilot's??? how they can eat on their legs???? it's impossible!! and uncomfortable!

  • no tray tables for pilot's??? how they can eat on their legs???? it's impossible!! and uncomfortable!

  • Good vid just a little concerned regards accessing the flight deck in flight following 911!!

  • @louiseeastlothian - They've got it covered. There are procedures in place to prevent a breach.

  • all that hair flying around especially when food is concerned - different from the many airline carriers i have flown - but then its american

  • this is soooooooo cool i'm serving bangers and mash on tuesday !!!!!!!!!!

  • Doesn't look that bad as a job :)

  • @robagl --A 4 day layover is not necessarily a matter of luxury, but of business. Crews are paid flight hours, so they aren't really earning $, sitting in a hotel, no matter where it is. Also, some flights do not operate daily, and if so, there is no way to schedule a return flight immediately on int'l flights. The term, "4-day" layover is at times a type of airline lingo. If a layover is 24 hours, but touches upon two calendar days, some might call that a "2-day" layover.

  • im starting to think being flight attendant is harder than pilot

  • AA is my Fav Airline

  • I'm gonna fly AA just for the nuts!

  • I can't help it. She can warm up my nuts anytime

  • go pro??

  • Captain and co-pilot, both of them are eating at the same time?????

  • @airwoman1 -------- unacceptable to me - especially the same food - should they be taking a break - what if they spill food or drink

  • heroes on air! what can i say :) God bless you all !

  • do they use the cart the ice cream was on for the main entree too? i know they use them for salad and appetizers.

  • A very old fashion galley. Looks like Boeing! Much better galley configs on an Airbus. And how can they only have two ovens for 30 passengers? Crazy. In my airline we have at least four in Business Class for 34 pax. Doesn´t look like working enviroment is on top of the list in many American airlines. Sad thing for the crew...!

  • I'm sure the airline pays for the hotel but do the crew get a per diem for food?

  • Great video! I had always enjoyed air plane food! Too bad there are too manythat offeres food on flights any more? I remembered how I enjoyed Chicken fetachiny (I think that how it is spelled?) as it was a great italian dinner!

  • here was me thinking being a flight attendant would be easy... looks like a lot of hard work.

  • God bless the flight crew... :-) :-) we take for granted (most of us) how much they do for us..

    THANK YOU ! Kirk..Montreal, Canada

  • boeing pilots need to put the meal on their lap in order to take it

airbus pilots have a small foldable table for the same task

that's why airbus is taking over boeing in plane sales.

  • I thought the pilot and the co-pilot ate different meals to minimise the chances of both of them getting food poisoning during a flight?

  • Fishes....2:40

  • Four day layover in Rio??! Notice how she was quick to mention laying out nude!;) Awesome!!! Darn; You Tube won't post the "behind the scenes at the hotel." Ugh!

I dated a f/a (past tense) and one time she returned from an international flight with a rug burn on the small of her back! Oops!

I should have been a pilot!!!

  • does another flight attendant sit up with the number 5 or is it just the number 5 and purser during takeoff and landing in the first class galley? also, how long after take off do the flight attendants move around, do they wait until cruising altitude or get up before?

  • i have 3 questions: do were the passengers also offered chateau brion or penne or something else? The crossover behind the double jumpseat, is that also part of the galley? The f/a in the background when Susan was getting the insert ready, was she putting the cart there cause they were gonna open the door to the flight deck?

  • @jmconn82 1) yes, these are usually the same choices offered to passengers sitting in business class. 2) yes, that's the left forward door, where they often keep carts while getting the service ready, and 3) those same carts are used when the door is opened, yes.

  • ooohh my god! i want to be a flight attendant so bad, I just can't because I don't know any other language fluently :( i know it's not required, it's preffered for the airline i want to fly with but it decreases my chances. Also, I'm not sure the pay is sufficient. Any tips?

  • @Rosslynite101 apply regardless, depending on the airline it won't be necessary/ you may be provided with training and time to get your second language up to working level, be persistent and work on what you have to. good luck!

  • Wow, I really admire the flight attendant in this video! she must have been doing it for years. I have been doing it only for few years, and i usually take up a galley position, but it seems that they are so relaxed in a very logical way. in my airline there is a lot of tenseness and more strict procedures when serving the flight deck. for example, we cannot give them the cans just ike that, it has to be opened up and put in a sealable starbucks style cup. sauce cannot be open.

  • in addition to that, its a full different world. i think when you do it for those many years, you get so used to it, that the room for mistakes turn down drastically! i really love the way she got into it, she will be my next leader on board maybe ;-)?

  • this is a great video!

  • @TheHaloChief117 they eat while cruising in the middle of the flight when the autopilot is on so they don't have to do much

  • so pilots eat while piloting?

  • When she is preparing the meals is there a pull out to allow extra space?

  • what aircraft is this

  • my sister wants to be a flight attendant

  • 03:46 - Sufresh Orange juice.....the best in Brazil!!!!

  • amazing

  • she'll give the pilots some nuts lol

  • what airline is this

  • @emoteroalagano American Airline

  • @ExotiiqueBeautiii ah i thought it was delta air

  • Verry nice video flight attendant is having an obligation to were tights and why? Also American Airlines 767 do not have a ptv in coach class.

  • now that i think about it, being a pilot is waaaat better xD I WANT CHATOUX! OR HOWEVER YOU WRITE IT!

  • Does AA still provide crew meals on select domestic flights?
