white black brown yellow purple we all get hungry, horny, thirsty, excited, depressed ,happy, sad, we all have red blood, a body, a soul, hands, feet, eyes, a heart, teeth, we reproduce have families BLAH BLAH BLAH.... skin color is just a little thing that people make a big deal in here. people need to experiment. if your white hang out with some black people. n vice versa. being afraid n not knowing is what makes people call each other niggers and crakers. HONESTLY
Bobby Caldwell's tunes are great original music, his singing voice is marvellous and I think it's funny that there are people still arguing about who is imitating who. I think the argument about whites imitating blacks is not only racist, it is also a little bit dishonest. There is no colour to music and this is irritating to those who always want to attach an image to everything.
@sanitizer03 over her rolling thats fuggin funny. reminds me of the movie "the big hit" when dude was talking about the Trace buster..HAHAH! trace buster buster thats gnna bust the busta with the trace busta!
@sanitizer03 ilmbao@that is some funny shit i rem that from that movie.tropic thunder..I KNOW WHO I AM!! I'M THE DUDE PLAYING THE DUDE disguise as the otha dude!!
this is a cool cover... though the bass line needs work. This singer nails it and with a real Fender Rhodes.... the bass bothers me though... pretty darn cool for black guys imitating a white guy imitating black guys... go figure and all the best!
@roddymoore you're right about the bass line. but i'm pretty sure bobby caldwell wasn't imitating anybody. maybe he was inspired by historically black music, but that's not imitation. it's called soul, and it's a different more free approach to music and dance, and anybody can do it who commits to it. peace.
Such an easy going dude with a great voice. With my archaic preconcepts of the past, I thought this is what Bobby Caldwell was suppose to look like, and I read many black dudes thinking the same way. Great to know those barriers fell down under the attack of great musicians Like Bobby Caldwell, The Average White Band, Wild Cherry, Lenny Kravits and others
Xlent comments .. I was on a BC spree and found this..beautiful.
