I respect Zach Hill, and think his solo stuff is awesome. That being said, it makes no sense to praise Zach's solo stuff, and bash the stuff he did in Hella when there is still so much Hella in the music Zach is involved with.

Saying that all Hella did was inspire a bunch of "I tap, you go crazy" bands discounts how Spencer and Hella had to be on the same wavelength to make any of the songs work, and shows that you haven't listened to more than one Hella album.

@Manetmusic Hella doesn't entertain me at all. Everything that Zach has came out with (all side projects, solo releases, etc..) has pushed the limits of music and art to new extremes. All Hella has seemed to have done is influence of bunch of wannabe minimalist scene kids' mindset of "we can just do some 2 handed tapping riff and our drummer can just go crazy over it and people will like us".
