  • Lyrically, I'd say Kool G. Storytelling would be Kool as well. I do agree, though, that Biggies sound is awesome, so it's close, but G Rap takes it.

  • kool g rap of course

  • @TheColorfulCube young128 is still clowning on you I see.

  • @cormegaful how? lol. Stop boostin this kids self esteem. cant you see he thumbs himself up on all my vids? lol

  • @cormegaful Fail

  • Stop using the same G Rap songs on every video kid.

  • @cormegaful Stop repeating yourself and stalkin all my vids kid.

  • @TheColorfulCube You like the views. Besides, I've seen you on my videos before starting arguments, like on "The Anthem".

  • @cormegaful Cool story. Do you finally understand the difference between Papoose and G Rap btw? Just wonderin.

  • @TheColorfulCube Well, I've uploaded a song with G Rap and Papoose in it. Pap has the 1st verse and G Rap has the 3rd. Song is called "Thug Connection", so I guess the anwer you're looking for is yes. Yes, I can tell the difference. XD

  • g rap is a billion times more lyrical. proof: cannon fire, etc. but biggie has a better flow. he just raps and sounds better.

  • @young128 so overall you say biggie?

  • @young128 ye what about mumblin n whisperin, or kick in the door, everyday struggle the rapctiy freestyle..

  • @StreamerVideo what about them?

  • BOTH has different styles, i like em both, put nas, rakim, pun, big l,can,tech9, i would say em but i aint d ridding him like most of his fans.

  • This is kind of a unfair comparing. Because kool g rap has got faster flow and biggies flow is slow. But i see how you've acutally tried to compare them by their multies but if you really want to compare someone to biggie compare him to shyne becasue they both have slow flow and use multies an nearly sound the same if you havent herd shyne hear shyne - badboys and also thumbs up! atleast you compared one thing.

  • @Rarevintage1 I compared them cuz they both have mafioso themes and vivid storytelling. And because it hadnt been done before

  • You use the same songs by Kool G on every video.....

  • @cormegaful cuz those are his best verses, you expect me not to compare the best of Kool G Rap simply because i compared the same songs on another vid? lol. How dumb.

  • @TheColorfulCube LOL, you clearly haven't heard enough G Rap.

  • @cormegaful Yes i have, i've heard all his albums, except for the new one and the 2008 mixtape. This is coming from the guy that just learned who Kool G Rap was last year and thinks that average verse by Kool G Rap with 2 syllables is complex? hahahah. You have horrible taste, especially when lookin at the rapper on your account name lol.

  • @TheColorfulCube The entire verse wasn't all 2 sylable rhymes, that's you're first fail. Your second one was thinking I found out about G Rap last year, I heard of him before that, I just didn't hear any of his songs personally until nearly 2 years ago. Your third fail is that you only know the same few songs by G Rap apparently, and that's why you're putting the same songs on every video you upload with him. LOL

  • @cormegaful This is coming from the guy that cant tell G Rap apart from Papoose? Do you expect me to take you serious? lol. Fail.

  • @TheColorfulCube Your first fail is that I've already explained I just got it mixed up. I can clearly tell the difference between the two. Your second fail is thinking you've heard more G Rap than me. You continously use the same songs. You should use some of his verses from collabos that aren't on his albums, I've noticed he always killed it as a guest verse, like on "Friend of Ours, Know Da Game, Thug Connection, The Realest, Letter P, The Anthem, N.Y.C," ect... And any of his freestyles too.

  • @cormegaful yeh and also 'i am' 'framed' '3 greats' and '3 kings'(even tho rugged man outshined him on 3 kings) and also that amazing song he did wit muggs called 'real life' wasnt on any of his albums

  • @rakimkoolgrapwutang Exactly. Why put the same songs on every video when he has so much great shit? LOL.

  • @cormegaful The part where you claimed was "not simple" was a 2 syllable rhyme scheme with an occasional 3 syllable word in there. lol.

and you fail, i've heard more G Rap than you. You dont even listen to hip hop much. You barely know who anybody is. G Rap, Rakim, etc. You shouldnt be talkin lol. These verses are some of his best. Which is why i compare them, also the 2nd vid has more verses idiot. lol. They arent exactly the same.

  • haha i have no idea how i got here, im not a troll or anything im just gona say this , You fat ass niggas out there think your so big and hard, your music is for pussy's! i mean ur always bitchin about things that nobody gives a shit about, im an emo , i listen to good music and all you " gangsters" out there can suck my dick cuz ur so jealous its bigger then yours ! tumbs up if think im gay :)

  • @KillzSwitch04

Emos are lonely twats that would get fucked up on the streets of compt and so on. Have fun talking that badboythug outside your room hombre.

  • Biggie is the perfect example of what most mainstream artists strive to be. Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, even Canibus in his diss against LL Cool J acknowledged Biggie as the best. Even, Tupac loved Biggie he loved that song "Party and Bullshit" and played it many times his tour bus. It all comes down to the breakdown of the components and criteria that should be standardized among hip hops heads, about what makes a good Mc. The best that is extremely debatable, but what's certain is whose not

  • As far as music goes, Biggie career got cut short. Although I do not think he would have developed insanely when it comes to multi syllables, but this is very foolish to say, even LIL Wayne this days has some surprising multi's and punchlines. I mean after thousands of songs, eventually you'll get it, eve if he has a ghostwriter. So, that's my take, Biggie is not over rated. If he brings happiness then he deserves it.

  • Many would say flow to Biggie, this is very debatable. Kool G Rap delivery is exquisite, even though he has a lisp he could deliver fire rapid lyrics with sniper precision, songs like "one Dark night" and "fast life" "letter P" and all the host of others. Who has a better sense of how to tell a story Biggie of course. He weaves a story much more grapic, even though kool G Rap is very skilled in this aspect. Biggie has flow, we all know this. Multi's that is non debatable Kool G rap is king

  • Kool G Rap is way more lyrical. Flow goes to Biggie though.

  • lyrically I have to go with Kool G Rap and for the record Biggie IS OVERRATED

  • for real, Biggie is mad overrated. He is a good rapper, but come on, this is Kool Genius Rap, too much for Biggie

  • @Ultraliskification Considering what biggie did, i wouldnt at all say hes overrated, In terms of lyrical ability i wouldnt at all judge that as why he was great, ive never looked at biggie with the idea he was yrically better than any other rapper and as a single reason hes greater than any others, it was his accomplishments in which other MCs failed miserably to achieve. If kool g made more radio hits he would be looked at the same, if an mc is really the whole package it shows.

  • BIGGIE <3

  • kool g rap biggie is overated

  • Comment removed

  • @young128 Storytelling - Kool G Rap

  • @Eziokilla9595 yeah thats what i meant with content. storytelling falls under content and g raps content is better cuz hes a better storyteller

  • @young128 Gotcha. I like both. They both in my Top 10, so I don't care what anyone else says.

  • meh, not even a good comparison gotta give it to kool g complex schemes and more in depth content, as well as some crazy ass story tellin' approaches. Hands down kool g gets this not even debatable.

  • @TruthUniteUs well g rap is one of my favs in the game, but i think me and cube both a agree that Hip Hop needs some new high level mc's that can cover more topics, bring more energy, bring more everything

i'm always gonna see g rap as a monster, but he's just too typical....mafioso rap, i ain't knockin him for it, but i dont find the same content over and over very beneficial...

  • @EmceeSlick4life I get ya but a lot of these dudes could incorporate and convey more topics. Some of the greats may be known not to cover many topics, but who can blame them the media and corporations put to much control over creativity. Ironically enough that shit sells, and like anything if ones spoon fed something over and over again one is gonna continue crave it.

  • @TruthUniteUs i feel you on that bruh, but real talk, rapping about the same thing over and over, it makes me only want to listen to him SOMETIMES, i want an mc that im interested in ALL OF THE TIME

  • lol g rap vs biggie? why didn't you put kool g's Blowin Up In The World?

haha, theres hella other tracks that you could have compared

biggie wa dope no doubt, but NO emcee is touchin g rap, i don't give a damn who it is, he has stories, skill, delivery, mad breath control, he's one of the 4 legends, c'mon, big is dope, but big L was better than biggie imo

  • @EmceeSlick4life lol, I was thinkin about usin that song but it doesnt have a verse that stands out, it's a great song overall but im lookin for raw verses.

what do you think are Kool G Raps best songs/verses?

  • @TheColorfulCube G rap was nasty on Holla Back, Good Die Young, there are many verses of his that I really like, but you know what, i've heard his new material, and honestly, I didn;t find it beneficial as an mc....like,

on my newer songs and cd's i aimed to make it so that mc's would hear me and step their game up off of what i've done, i figured, if they try to top me then their music is gonna be crazy

i think kool g is kinda one dimensional..thug rap and gun rap, with SOME real life

  • @TheColorfulCube he's my favorite for his deliv and syllable game, I mean

there are many deep mc's out there with deep and various content who use just as if not more skill

i write my rhymes with discipline, trying to make sure each line is longer than 5 sylls, and its not hard to do but sometimes i do let some shorties slide by

  • @EmceeSlick4life also i dont think he's the best with syllables, i know he pioneered it but i think many have surpassed him. He relies on multis too much.

sometimes he'll rhyme the same rhyme scheme the whole verse, relying on the multi chain. he'll just insert some random rhymes just to fit the scheme and make the flow sound better, alot of rappers do this... Big Pun did this too and made raps like "Super Lyrical" that is just a bunch of nonsense words bunched together to sound nice.

  • @TheColorfulCube Super lyrical wasnt non sense. It just didnt have any great content but the point of that song was to just show off the super lyrical skills of his and its not senseless if u get it ...

  • @TheColorfulCube also doing shit like G Rap where u keep the same rhyme scheme for entire verse while rhyming amazing filling everything with a lot of amazing multies that all make sense, have meaning, connect together, etc. is mindblowing esp. how he did it on Cannon fire while telling a story. i mean its very unique and hard and takes a lot of skills. not many can come close to g rap. hes very complex...

  • @young128 I already know it's harder to multi a whole verse while havin the same scheme, i've done it alot. but if you dont do it properly the rhymes will dictate what you say. You start makin up nonsense rhymes just to fit within the scheme. And that Pun song was basiclly nonsense. "my murderous rap, verbal attack is actual fact. Tactical tracks match perfectly with graphical stats. Half a you lack the magical dap of tragical rap" = Just rhyming a bunch of random words. That's easy right there.

  • @TheColorfulCube no. its easy if u dont make sense but pun made perfect sense and had a bunch of subliminal meanings behind most of the shit in that song. the song is called Super lyrical for a reason. it has no content its just rhyming to show off his lyrical skills. its freestyle rhymes. it CAN dictate what u r saying but G Rap can stay on topic and make perfect sense while rhyming amazing naturally. g rap has lyrics that are so dope that u know it takes prolly hours to write.

  • @young lol, Pun basically says nothing in that track, Just braggin with a lot of multis for flow. That's actually very easy to do. write multis with no real content = easiest thing to do.

  • @TheColorfulCube no its not. like i said. its only easy if u dont make sense but pun made sense in everything he said and the song aint supopsed to have great content....

  • @young128 It actually is very easy to do that. Those multis werent even all that. I've seen better. Wrting braggin shit with random multis is pretty easy.

  • @TheColorfulCube maybe not hard to do overall but as dope as super lyrical? never...

  • @young128 what was so hard about super lyrical?

the multis arent that complex, the flow was nice, no real content.

  • @TheColorfulCube yeah the multies were mad complex. he was rhyming and cominbing multiple words all over the place throughout the verse in the most unique/complex/clever way and still make sense all the time and have real meaning too like ... "I'm battlin' Jesus (hay-soos) if he passes through my label

    I'm snatchin' his halo

God I pray that you send my father back as an angel" .. .etc...

  • @TheColorfulCube its like that Benefit song - so Sick. no real content but mindblowing cuz the rhyming is out of this world...

  • @young128 yo wat do u think of this verse im so ill wit da multies a lot betta than pun

    'r b rebecca black/ u betta get a cat/ wit a checkered hat/and buy a betta mat/ i second dat/ my raps r widespread like i stretched a bat/ lets go on a treasure hunt wit my treasure map/ and let god bless ya flat/

  • @rakimkoolgrapwutang You're a joke kid.

  • @TheColorfulCube can u not detect da sarcasm in my comment.

  • @TheColorfulCube Man, i've seen some of my illest real life mc friends say that cannibus is the best lyricist...to me, i think he's dope, I wouldn't throw him in my top 5, yet, seeing as how I haven't heard a whole lot from can, but i do know that he spits some deep material

I mean, you have a point, unless an mc can utilize their skill to spit about tons of stuff, change their style up, spits real from the heart hip hop, i wouldn't see myself believing that-that mc was the best, thats just me

  • @EmceeSlick4life thank you for the support bro, but im telling you something right now, i have bought ALL of the beats, 63 song project, its almost time to record man, i just want to hit that mic and give that bitch everything i've got

no more half assed tracks, EVERY SONG is going to be perfect, and i'm sending the cd's to all my ny fam no doubt, couldn't have done it without yall

  • @EmceeSlick4life Yeah, Kool G Rap spits vivid stories, Mostly about guns. But that "Thugs Love Story" is a masterpiece. Top 5 story songs for sure.

You should do somethin like that, that's like a mini movie, 3 parts, seperate beats, crazy multis, you could easily pull that off.

Yeah Canibus spits some interesting shit, his style suits him. I usually only listen to MCs that spit that constant syllable shit, but he's decent. he has some nice creativity.

  • @TheColorfulCube kool g has mad stories, for days, but in the end, his topics are always the same, mafioso rap, which i actually love, but it gets old after a while,

tupac talked about all kinds of stuff, people relate to music that they can recognize

" oh he's talking about having a crappy childhood, been there, lets hear how his was "

" damn, he got played by a girl too, i wonder what happened, " so on and so forth

  • @EmceeSlick4life Yeah 2pac had that emotional and personal connection with his fans, sorta like Em. Vinnie Paz is raw, but he sounds repetitive.

But he's very good. spits that intelluctual shit, constant multis, good beats. etc. He's good. Lil Wayne? lol. I used to hear alot of his music cuz my sister likes him, he has some cool songs, he also has decent multis, simple similes tho. He's pretty basic... 63 songs? damn, sounds like a seriosu project, you already know the NY peeops are waitin lol

  • @TheColorfulCube to be honest, i just want to be true to hip hop, you wont ever hear me say swag, ever, that word is such bullshit, i could tell you a story about it but it'd take a min

anyways man, with the rap that is played nowadays, theres ZERO hope for me to ever get even close, but i give two fucks any more, theres more important shit to talk about with music than all the bitches you got or money or fame

all of that can suck my dick,

do me a fav and send some more tonedeff

  • @EmceeSlick4life Hmm, i could send you some more later, Im about to make a Hopsin Vs Eminem video. lol. Not for the actual comparison (Em obviously wins), but im doin it for the views, right now Hopsin is very popular and he has many similarities with Em so that'd be a perfect to compare the 2.

Yeah i agree, Hip Hop is in a shitty state, when i eventually make music i know i wont ever be famous or anything. Ill just do it for fun, make some stories etc. just build from there.

  • @TheColorfulCube shiiiit, if you can land your flow and keep your lyrics constantly fresh, you could blow up underground, easy bruh

hopsin? man, that dude sounds too much like em, i respect him if his girl really did do him shady (no pun intended) but he seems kinda commercial to me

  • @EmceeSlick4life He doesnt really sound that much like Em, just in a few songs. I can see the similarities though. Yeah he seems a bit commercial

the beats he uses, the hooks, etc seem to be commercial. He has some ok songs tho. plus he's pretty raw on alot of the verses he spits.

great energy, flow, multis etc. If he had the right beat and content he'd be real nice. The beats play a huge role when you decide how good a songs is.

  • @EmceeSlick4life btw, Tonedeff has a new album comin in December, deep material, nice beats. I've heard that the songs are gonna be like "My Lady" and "The Distance" which are real deep and unique. I've never heard hip hop songs like those. Very smooth, that's what i like about Tonedeff. He has braggin material and all that but i like his deep shit, that's where his real skill comes in.

  • @TheColorfulCube real talk, the game does need a new mc that raps about different things, uses mad skill, has emotion, smashes every song, and does it for the love of hip hop, there is someone out there, i know it,

i hear these guys nowadays and its like, why even listen to this when i can't learn from it, i've been bumping bay area rap lately, i love old school E 40, too clean

  • @EmceeSlick4life very true, Kool G is very one dimensional, i've heard almost all his albums, except his new one, and a couple of his albums with DJ polo.

Gun rap is all he does. He tells great stories, really vivid stories like "Thugs Love Story", which has to be my fav song from him, but that's about it.

He doesnt seem to have every aspect. which i look for. He is mostly known for his pioneering, he's still a great MC and deserves his props tho...

  • @EmceeSlick4life you could be that MC, lol. you seem to have the knowledge, what we look for most others dont

not everyone is as deep into hip hop and all the aspects and things. maybe the rappers arent as deep either. there's gotta be a rapper out there tho, in the underground that has everything.

I've seen alot come close. E 40? you rep for your area huh, lol... I've actually been listenin to alot of canibus lately, he isnt very good with the syllables and shit, but he's interesting.

  • @TheColorfulCube there is just too much pain in me, i really feel like once im done writing, all of the shit i've dealt with my whole life is just going to explode and the cd's will have that much more focus, energy, emotion and just everything

im not just rapping for me tho, i'm doing this for ny, for people who have to go through life alone and miserable, this shit is for anyone who loves hip hop

    in time man, in time

  • @TheColorfulCube how do you feel about vinnie paz? his content and style, i never really heard you speak on him, i like him tbh, he's deep, good flow, cool multi's, pretty good mc...well, never heard him free but

have you ever actually sat and listened to lil wayne? like, really analyzed his material, i was in a cd store and i played a drake album, every track same shit, couldnt fucks wit it, i liked the old wayne, but in the 90's

  • @EmceeSlick4life lol, I don't normally say this but yeah wayne back in the 90's wit the hot boys was my shit XD.

  • story telling, slight edge to g-rap

    flow, g-rap

    diverse, biggie

but biggie was the only rapper back then to be a complete artist on his first album.

  • @RelaxednCaIm what do you mean by complete artist?

  • @TheColorfulCube

he had everything on his first album. and his second album as well. biggie just knew how to make albums better than any other emcee.

  • @RelaxednCaIm completely agree

  • i prefere g rap i mean biggie was great but only has 2 albums only 1 classic (life afer death was good but not all that) g rap has more substance more natrully gifted storyteller even though biggie was great in his own right the only reason why people would think big was better is due 2 him having a better image better production and a more chilled out flow so g rap>biggie

  • Kool G Rap is infinite times more lyrical than Biggie and hes also a better storyteller. Versatility and flow goes to Biggie though. But, I judge rap skills before anything and rhyme wise G Rap shits on Biggie but flow-wise Biggie gets it.

  • @young128 You were telling me G Rap didn't have metaphors, similes or spit stories in a personal message..... LOL. Now you're gunna lie and try and denie it (as usual).

  • @cormegaful I said he didnt have GREAT metaphors, similes, etc. you fuckin moron. And im talking about storytelling here not metaphors, punchlines, etc....

  • @young128 lol cormegaful is slow as hell. you may have to repeat things several times before he even figures it out. the dude cant even answer simple questions. he'll never admit when he's been owned. lol

  • @TheColorfulCube agreed

  • @young128 At first you said he had no metaphors, similes, or stories and then when I called you a retard you said he didn't have great ones. So you just lied AGAIN. That's 4 times now. You're officially a fucking liar. Good job bro. LOL

  • Biggie died young so he is lacking the experience but still was a force to be reckoned with. Kool G Rap has been rapping since the "Golden Era" of hip hop. Biggie's delivery is much cleaner and it flows a bit better. Kool G Rap tends to be more raw with that kinda "Duck Down" style. Gritty like the rappers from the north. Its hard to compare the two since they deliver two very different types of hip hop music. If this were a battle rap. Biggie would win, Hands down.

    KillΔWatt

  • @chrispydogs I agree, but we cant dwell on biggies lost potential, from what g rap and BIG have both put out, g rap is clearly more lyrically gifted then BIG in most ways, i think BIGs a bit more clever with his rhymes than G Rap, but in a more simplistic way, complexity doesnt necessarily mean better but you arent gonna find a simple mc who sounds better than one who puts more mental thought into stucture which could make a rhyme about balloons sound great. Peace

  • @BiggieSmalls11111 Agreed. Also the fact that your profile pic is Biggie himself and the fact that you would put Kool G Rap first shows that your not some "dick rider" and knows when to accept the fact that he is not the holy grail of hip hop. I really appreciate that. With that said. I agree that Biggie's complexity is far less than that of Kool G Rap. I guess since Biggie died young most (including myself) glorify his skills more than he may actually had possessed.

  • @chrispydogs Yea i feel you, and my whole profile is a misconception of my intitial purpose of making it, i had found out how to put copyrighted songs on youtube, and i had a few tracks that werent on youtube so i made this account only planning to post the unreleased tracks of biggie but i ended up just using it for commenting, uploading my own vids, etc. But i do believe BIG could have gotten better, after all G rap was way better in the 90s then the 80s kinda showing age does improve skills.

  • @BiggieSmalls11111 Some cases artists didn't evolve and stayed the same. Like Big Daddy Kane, Rakim and so on. They were good in their time and some may argue they are the best lyricist of all time but at the end of the day if you can't keep in the spot light and keep reinventing yourself then your destined for the same results every time. It would have been nice to see Biggie still alive to see where the industry would be today. Same for Big L and 2Pac just to name two most people know of.

  • @BiggieSmalls11111 I prefer underground hip hop myself. If you seen my channel you probably know that. Too many artists that are ten fold greater than most mainstream artist. Even some of the greats we hold high on a pedestal like artists Biggie, 2Pac, Big L, Eminem etc. Can't touch what underground produces. Aesop Rock, Cunninlynguists, Living Legends, Tonedeff, Louis Logic, Apathy & Celph Titled, Literates, Army of Pharohs, Brother Ali and the list goes on and on.

  • rofl groundbreaking comparsion hehehe

  • @Leocidal who do you like better?

  • @TheColorfulCube rofl kool g on multis most definitely, storylines i kind of like biggies better alittle though. both are very well idolized by fans and whatnot. but overall id probably say kool g. but what does diverse mean? pardon me for asking that but i never heard of that word before. hehe

  • @Leocidal diverse, like how many topics you talk about, diff flows, etc.
