Here is what Fleming wrote about Bond: "Rather like Hoagy Carmichael in a way. That black hair falling down over the right eyebrow. Much the same bones. @Mi436 Bond is a "blunt instrument of the government"(that's from Ian Fleming as well) BUT also handsome, have class and good taste. If you think Craig is a good Bond only because he's a ruthless killer, then I'm sure you would be very pleased with Arnold Schwarzenegger, too. Again, if you like Craig, it's OK, watch him! Could very easily be made without the Daniel Graig movies. Worst Bond by far! The only time I am reminded I am watching a Bond movie is when I hear the score or he says the name. Other than that both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace could be any story about any guy.

Can't expect a woman producer to understand what makes Bond awesome to the eyes of every man. What is she going to do for the next film? Gonna make him get on his knees and cry like a baby, or be gay?

Been doing a little bit of reading about this, apparently Casino Royale (1967) and Never say Never again (1983) will not be included as they are MGM films, and not EON Production films. Even though they are considered James Bond films.

Hello Internet, I just turned 28 and wanted to share something with you. Though Iam not that old, I have had a huge passion with Bond in my childhood till the Daniel Craig Era, Bond showed me the world, taught me a lot about almost anything, made me want to be a better person, to be cool, not sleasy emo or rap cool, just gentleman cool.

Bond has shaped my character and I am glad who I became. Though IMF has brought us to our knees I will try really hard to get this set. For old times sake :)

@mrjimmyos - As long as a film was shot in 35mm or 70mm, it's already clearer than 1080p HD. As long as there are clean elements to work from, and the company putting out the DVD's are willing to master it properly, the raw information is there to make a perfect transfer. See Gone With The Wind on blu ray as a reference.

@fedredted Why not just get this and then pick up Skyfall when it comes out? There's going to be a Bond movie two years after Skyfall - maybe they'll release this again with that one included. There's no way to predict when this series will end, nor when they'll stop releasing sets like this one. If it's a good set that includes plenty of features, you don't already own these films on Blu-Ray, and you can afford it, I don't see the point in waiting.

It is meant to stay separated from Skyfall as this is the entire series that got us to this year, rather than thinking 'Oh, but what about the next one,' think about 'This set is how we got to this year with Mr. Bond...
