I dont think so, his nodules are very evident by his raspy Bad Bonjovi impersonation, his range is limited, hes can not sing past a certain not, he sings in an American accent thats reminicent of the eighties....people like david coverdale, chris Cornell these people you can use the adjective 'amazing' when describing their voices, but not this two dime cover bands pub singer!!

i think you're a bit harsh on his voice. there are much worse singers around who are way more successful (like chris martin from coldplay who can't even strike a note). but i guess my perception in this song is also a bit affected by the relief that yogi lang (the actual singer from RPWL) isn't singing this song....

I hear what you are saying and respect your view, although while I agree Chriss Martin aint the best singer he does write contemporary sounding songs that dont always revolve around him. Ray is a self obsessed individual and this is mirrored by his dated sound,songs, lyrics and mostly his voice. You really cannot compare an actively modern sounding band such as ColdPlay with this dated pub singer who has never acheived any musical merrit by himself!!

Ray Wilson does a tremendous job on the Genesis album Calling All Stations and I especially love the title track - Calling All Stations. However, I think R.P.W.L. reminds more of Coldplay (or the other way around - if you prefer) but Roses kicks the living daylight out of every Coldplay track - and don't get me wrong, I'm a Coldplay fan as well. But Roses.... oh man! =D
