Haha loved it. I used to play this game all the time and recently bought a sega genesis to play it again. Funny thing is I have never beat the final boss. So it's nice to see the end of the game, and on the first try...show off!

You may not have known but the whole beginning of the game (the old gypsy, the first store, the snakes, even the hidden coins) are a reference to the beginning of Wonder Boy 2. The level design is mostly the same and these types of snakes can be seen nowhere else in the game. They are only included for this reference.

And the giant fishs and bats (the ones that spit out former versions of itself), just larger, where bosses in the arcade game Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair.

I just want to say, thank you very much for doing an LP of this game. I just did a search and saw you had one. Always wanted to know what I missed and what I did wrong. After this viewing this I think I'll feel up to it and try my hand at this game again (never beat it).

It's kinda tedious and your watchers know how to read.

Just make a summary of what is being said and explain it/elaborate on it/joke about it. This of course if you're not playing the game blindly.

I thought you were gonna do Wonder Boy in Monster Land, but this is far better. I have this game on the VC in the form of The Dynastic Hero, which is a TG-16-version of it. I just happen to suck at it, never completed it. This video makes me want to return to the game, though.

And... Well, wow, I'm kinda impressed. This ain't bad, you're real informative, good game choice (at least I think so; I don't know a damn thing about this series, haha), and whatnot. There were a few little things that coulda been improved, but I won't nitpick you here. Don't worry about savestates between videos; so long as you don't use 'em IN video, it's cool, ahah.
