Execellent timeless . It's a simple rift built up to a physcodelic crescendo.Mark e smith timing is no1 .andhe has stood the test of time.many a Manx bands hav mimicked his swagger.
i'd just like to suggest to you all that there are quite a few FLAC CD rips and even a few FLAC vinyl rips doing the rounds on a particular russian message board, if you're prepared to trawl through about 14 pages of the thread. There's rips there that arent doing the rounds on any of the FLAC torrents. But what am I saying, if the words "the fall FLAC vinyl rip" mean anything to you at all you've probably already googled, found and started downloading before you've finished reading this message
I would guess that this song is more influenced by Gary Glitter than Iggy Pop. Listen to the beat. Think Rock'n'Roll parts 1 and 2. I feel unclean for participating in this thread....borderline sychophant.
Just discovered the fall a few weeks ago and i fucking love them. Can't get enough of them. And i love the fact that it's a mission to track down copies of some of their albums.
Sinister, dark, powerful, grinding punk in one neat Mark E Smith package. What a fucking awesome song
I don't mean embarassing in a pop music sense, I mean that his alcoholism has made him completely incoherent, like the rambling drunk down at the pub who no one likes. The comparitive cleanliness/youth of the rest of the band members only serves to highlight this.
Ah, it's Jezza "I'm so whacky even though I'm a middle class twunt who's actually called Jeremy" The Fez. Consider me silenced. Nice one Jeremy. Mummy's boy.
Forced to agree, still love the records but have seen the band twice in recent years and thought the band were great and MES was just too wrecked. Especially Brighton Concorde late 2005, he could barely stand then.

Few rock stars deserve the label of "legend". Mark E. Smith is one of those few.

Radiohead are good. Not so much into U2 these days, though their very early stuff is new wave excellence.

started out? i think it's more interesting when he's slurring the words

Nice try moron. MES is a slobbering drunk these days. It's really embarassing how terrible his vocal performances are. He's a self-parody.
