I love this 5 series a lot but I could not DISAGREE more about the rear end. I think the e60 rear (especially after the life cycle impulse) looks much better. The back of this car is very boring, almost drab.

@Taxminia0311 no, all audi model range require super (93 octane) gasoline. i own an audi a4 - i've been told some people get away with 89 octane. i go 230 miles on around $50 (full tank) of 93 octane gas. i will get a a6 in another year or so.

@Taxminia0311 audi claims you'll get better preformance and milage with higher octane...can't tell you, always put 93 octane in my audi - pretty much all german cars require 93 octane except for volkswagons. you can run regular gas in a jetta/passat with the 2.0 turbo engine but when the same engine is in the audi A4 they want you to use 93 octane - go figure.

Infiniti technology is better across the board then the latest comp tech from BMW. I have the new 5, and the iDrive, while better, is still cumbersome. Infiniti just does it better, esp when listing music from iPod. And the new cameras that BMW offers, esp the front fender cams are useless! what's the point? BMW left off a front camera, and they should have one. Not the fish eye cams on each front bumper. Without a front camera, the around view (ripped off from Infiniti is incomplete.

After taking careful considerations I decided on purchasing the 2012 A6 over the 5 series. All bullshit aside to anyone that hasn't test drive both then make your decision. Audi's new tech in the car was just icing on the cake for me. The only thing I feel BMW has over the A6 is slightly more comfortable seats. Not saying that the A6 is an uncomfortable car at all, but it seems the BMWs were higher quality leather. Prestige/Quartz Grey/BLK/LED/18 "SportsPCK/Side Assist. $61K MSRP paid 56K

BMWs are great cars and i'd love to have one, but i think honestly that the 2011 Mustang GT is a "shoe-in" for car of the year. they gained 100hp over the outgoing model and picked up a few MPGs as well. not to mention Fords renown reliability as well as their innovation. that 5 series is a sexy car, although i'd get it in black. i'd take an M3 anyway though.
