Entomopter based aerial Mars Surveyor mission

Robert C. Michelson who is the inventor of the Entomopter is some kind of genius. He does everything. Look at the article about him on en.Wikipedia. And yes, this looks like a rod, but I think rods have been proven to be an artifact of natural flying things (birds/insects) when filmed with a video camera. Probably NASA would not land its Entomopter because it is too risky. Probably the landing gear are only for this movie.

The landing gear for such Martian Entomopter needs the elements of its biological couterpart to allow safe landing on Martian rocks other wise it will destabilize and prevent a safe take off and base return

Did any one else notice how much those little flying machines look like the Rods people have been photoing all over the world in the past few years? Since they only show us 40 year old technology, who knows what they have flying around now.
