Carbon Dioxide is not a pollutant it is a life giving gas. The Planet is now cooling abruptly, The Sun in an inactive phase, the Pacific ocean is in a cool PDO, The atlantic has just entered a cool AMO, the troposphere is cooling,the AO has turned negative. Carbon dioxide is used in photosynthesis to produce the planet's food. Time to stop the warming bullshit and prepare for a cooling world.

we can´t stop global warming it is to late for that the only thing we can do is try to reduce the impact of global warming.

well it may be true that in 2050 air travel will stand for 35% of carbon emisions in the uk but it is not about the uk it is about the whole planet.

the ecojet and carbon offsets is not the solution but it is a good step in the right direction and stop complaining about that.

no doubt he is a very good journalist/ interviewer but he fails to understand easyjet is trying in an industry that is decades away from being carbon neutral. it is at least trying to solve the problem while keeping everyone ( customers, employees and shareholders) happy by publisising they have an effect. what else could easyjet realisticly do, they are in a lose lose situation from what I see.

I think failure to understand the facts about air travel and the way in which he takes nothing into account which his interviewee says makes him anything other than a good journalist. This is the first time I've come across George Monbiot so I can only judge him on this interview but it seems to me that he's only there to argue, not to get across the facts.

You clown. Easyjet offer carbon offsets and are looking to reduce their footprint. Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary says, "The best thing you can do with an environmentalist is strangle them." Disgraceful. To claim Ryanair are "very green to the environment" is beyond absurd. Easyjet also fly 737-700s with less emissions that the -800, and the A319 which produces less emissions than either 737.

Obviously you work for Ryanair - in which case, my sympathies.

The problem here, seems to me, is that the issue of climate change can be ultimately reduced to that of opinion. I have the deepest respect for George, but he really should've rammed this guy's nonsense back down his throat. Point made and walk off? I just don't know whether that tactic is enough to convince the apathetic majority. Keep it up though George - we just need a few more like you.
