@SupremeAmerican take off eh ....... its a beauty when you goooooooooo this is a Canuck Site --- I have watched them evolve for almost 50 years and believe me this is part of evolution - watch listen and learn --- Watch the "learning channel" and I would hide that shotgun if I were you LOL watch the Birds LOL
@SupremeAmerican Serious though I grew up in Vancouver BC - about 3-4 miles from this site - this is a rare phenomana - I have heard but do not know if is true we now have the largest crow rookery in the World - it was not like this when I was I kid and I noticed - cause they even my "totem" as a kid - I just did not know it yet - and when I say totem - I mean I admire their natural innate qualities - they are seriously intelligent beings.. and "caring" of other smaller speiceis of birds -
@92359hg They have a crow season here and we get a lot of them during that time, it's still in season actually. It's fun to hunt them you basically sit at the edge of a corn field in a camoflauge tent, you throw some crow decoys about 20 yards in front of you and call them on in, and they flock right up and land right in front of you, and basically u just blast away. We can bag up about 30 birds an hour on a good day. Heck i might have to go do it again before season ends here next week.
@SupremeAmerican fun to hunt - as a rule I do not eat meat - if I had to kill - i would likely perish - but who could really say - I may be able to hunt to survive - but not for fun - you are a bad SupremeAmerican notty crow killer
@92359hg They are kinda tricky tho. They always send in a 'scout' bird, a single crow to land first, then 2 mins later the rest come in. Trick is, u gotta stay quiet and hidden and not spook the scout bird, then it's blast off LAWLS
@SupremeAmerican So you do murder them ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh not good - I would watch my back LOL I have seen them do some amazing things - have you Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" looks like they do a remake right here ahhhhhhhhhh
Aaaaargh !! This is the scene I see every night outside my work!! Hey wait a minute - this IS outside my work!!! They like to poop all over our cars too!! I get home & then have to clean all of it off of my car! Plus, when we walk out of the door at work, those of us parked outside have to make a run for our cars, hoods & hats on !!!
i just saw a whole flock of them sitting in a line on every single roof of the houses in my complex in richmond. there were about 50 of them i think. freaky!
i find absolutly great this megaflock of crows...really amazing and i wonder whats the reason is for that. They seem to me upset in flying and their callings , would be curious knowing whats behind their behaviour and for what purpose..it surely has but they are absolutly harmless, pl. take a look at the crows on my channel ;) Thank you for sharing !
I see them all the time getting off frm work...I try to avoid the clusters of crows on the trees, powerlines, and edges of buildings fearing I'll get crapped on lol :P
I'm about to go outside to get a look from the street, a more distant point of view. And my dad comes out of his room and says, look outside you won't believe this.
I look outside his window in the front of the house. I was like WHAT THE FUCK?? Cuz there were sooo many crows on my neighbours' houses, in the streets, flying around. They were gathered in different groups.
It's now 7:25... man that was too fucked up a thing to wake up to.
I just got woken up to this shit at around 7:00am. I just had the most fucked up dream and then i wake up with chills everywhere. I a few minutes later I start hearing crows cawing. It gets louder and louder and I'm just thinking what the hell... Soon i start hearing banging as if they were flying into the house. Then it sorta sounds like walking on the roof.
Long story short I look outside and they're are bunch in my backyard and flying around outside, swooping from my roof.
crows will kill anything they can.. songbirds especially.. as much as i am opposed to killing, sometimes things have to be culled.. sorry crows. we are planning to go check it out the next nice evening..
Nice catch - I've been at that Gas Station and seen the same. The crows gather back in Burnaby as they have for hundreds of years following their daily commute to and from Stanley Park.
There used to be many more crows in the Still Creek area, but now that the new casino is being built, much habitat has been destroyed, and at least some of the displaced crows have re-located to near Central Park.
Wow! Beautiful! =)

Kimquat44 3 years ago
I don't know why either but I've seen this so many times. The first time I saw this, it was actually quite scary....

This is the scariest thing ever. I hate birds, and hate going through places with a lot of birds, like Burnaby.
It's worse because they're crows. and it's a Murder.

It happened at the Shell gas station at Willingdon and Canada Way.

I live in Burnaby! Wish I could've seen that.

This happens every day at sunset, and has been for many years. I work around there and the crows often gather on our building at sunset.
