  • Awesome. I'm a Krav Maga practitioner but I really enjoy the ground game too. So far I've dominated the ground game in my classes and that's partially because of this kind of videos. Awesome awesome awesome!

  • I am always impressed by Roy Dean and his students. Very high-quality instruction; very high-quality students. You never see any of his students spazzing out while rolling. All of his students are so technical in their approach to Jiu Jitsu. Perfect example of how a great teacher produces great students.

  • As a man i feel more women should do Jujitsu.

  • you sir, set a very high bar for belting up. its nice that people still do that. i used to train a major gym in LA and at several different ones since. i wont name any names but they are basiclly belt factories. so i really respect the standard you set. oh, and i love how good you are at feeding submisions but not giving them away. you're are obviously am amazing coach.

  • I hope her boyfreind doesnt cheat on her because she would kill him.

  • awesome!!!

  • Great Job Ms Patterson your technique reflects volumes about yourself and your instructor, she is a credit to your school and your character Mr Dean nice work. I Have just started Ju Jitsu in New Zealand after training under a few other umbrellas and I am loving it, enjoy the journey.

  • wow shes very pretty and so is her technique!

  • first bjj video to move me , HA!

  • she looks a lot like rachel mcadams... i agree with higg though a lot of discipline especially to use ankle and knee locks. nice job

  • Great job Ms. Patterson. Quite the arsenal you've developed there!

  • I've come to respect and admire the the way your students exhibit the depth of their knowledge when executing their techniques. This was no exception. The transitions are so smooth. She did a great job. I look forward to watching the next one.

  • i love the look on her face. the progression frazzled to meditated calm.

  • Wow very technical. Had me smiling.

  • Very nice & very technical esp for Blue. I was surprised to see heel hooks & knee bars been practiced at White Belt but they were well controlled with great technique!

  • you can't see it or hear it, but just know that I am clapping! :-)

  • Very nice technique! Unfortenately USA's blue belts are better than 1/2 of polish purples... :/

  • Outstanding Congratulations Emily. is that a new building?

  • moving art & heart

  • @lonerjoshy- It's a fist choke

  • @efpatter gotcha. I see it now. thnx

  • the two moves after 2:47. what was that ?

  • @lonerjoshy seems like a gi choke with a bit of help of your leg?

  • her last two submissions were just excellent!

  • I have only the greatest respect for what your school accomplishes. Excellent work.

  • Congrats to the new blue belt. Oussss

  • wow out of the many blue belt tests this might rank at the top, great technique!

  • A great example of how well-taught/executed technique will often triumph over strength or speed. Congratulations!

  • wow.. she knows quite some submissions and applies them pretty well... i was surprised by the bicep cutter @ 12:30, gj!

  • Congrats on the blue belt, well deserved.

  • exceptional as always

  • Well deserved.

  • I'm not big into belt testing, but after hearing your FightWorks Podcast interview and how you see this more as a right of passage in a modern society it makes a whole lot of sense.

  • Wow! Very high level.. (as always) Amazing knee-bar at 9:26! And Roy congrats on your new academy, looks realy great! Oss!
