  • The Vasque "waterproof" boot is the first and last Vasque boot I will ever own. Despite all the hype it leaks. Badly, as I found out during the current flood. And despite the boots being in mint condition, I was informed by Red Wing customer service that "Vasque products are covered by a limited 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship". For shame! Vasque's reputation was made on boots made in Italy. They're made in China now.

  • @johnsrude - as directed by our customer service department, please bring the shoes in to the dealer where you purchased them to determine if they can be replaced, or send them in to Red Wing at the address we sent to you via email on 1/20/2012.

  • I've had a pair of Clarion II since 1990- they're just about shot even though I can still walk in them (despite two holes in the upper). They have hiked through three countries, up several mountains over 4,000 feet, and cost me less than $5 a year use. They don't have the Clarion II anymore, but if the new ones last me 10 years, I'll be happy.

  • just orderd vasque 7177's from the red wing shoes in little tokyo, los angeles, hope they're worth it.

  • i have the new pairs i have like 18 pf them
