  • @themargootte where are you?

  • I raise a cup of purple drank to all my homies.

  • Superb vocals probably the best vocals from the West Coast sound. Cippolina as usual impeccable. What a master.

  • Try the version that Cippo recorded with MAN on their Maximum Darkness album, Lyrics sung by Deke Leonard.

  • ahhh THATS MY DAD!!!! ^_^ gary duncan!

  • No disrespect, but this doesn't even compare to the Charlatans' version. Dragging out a song for dramatic effect too often just makes it slow and boring.

  • One of the better rock versions of this song I've heard.

I uploaded a cover by my psych/country band to my channel if anyone wants to check it out. Sorry for the self-promotion, but I feel that fans of QMS might enjoy it and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

  • @concertmedia Your version kicks ass!

  • @BlackAngusYoung Thanks!

  • When others were soakin' up surf music, this was my cup of tea! Thanks for the great tunes boys!!!

  • Quicksilver was one of the top S.F. bands, and rightfully so. These guys are incredible. Thanks for posting and please keep posting.

  • loved these guys...chips is one in a zillion....and Duncan hits it right!

  • This is the version I used to hear in the 60's. They could only play it after midnight. I'd stay up late on school nights to hear this version. I didn't know which album it came from, but at least I know it now still exists. THANK YOU!!!

  • The version of Sean and The Brandywines is the best version of this song I've heard. It's available on blogspot, Flower Bomb Songs.

  • Codine

  • Lyrics are wrong at 3:05ish, it's "stay away from the people with -dope- on their minds"

  • Il y a encore des gens qui se souviennent de Quicksilver par ici! Ca fait plaisir

  • You can find this wonderful track on the soundrack of the movie "Revolution", 1968, aside with Mother Earth, Country Joe and the Fish and the Steve Miller Band. On YouTube you can also find the corresponding scene, Quicksiler live on stage playing this version of Codine, a dream, preceding by "Baby I'm gonna leave you'... Good search.

  • @Tushratta It's great to see this tremendous song posted on YouTube for all to appreciate. I've considered it to be a buried treasure ever since I purchased this obscure soundtrack LP more than 30 years ago.

  • This is an amazing cut, where can I find it?

  • @ladidah9 I have it on a 2 lp bootleg called "Maiden of the Cancer Moon". Half was recorded in 1968 at the Fillmore East, the other half also in 1968 in the studio. Very good sound quality for a bootleg. The lp came out in 1983, many years after they disbanded.

  • @jab3785 Thanks, I'll definitely try to find that.

  • @jab3785 had it in same format! Hey now ladidah! T'is Weir4ever from channel #2. Hope all is well. Happy trails!

  • your right it does.

  • is it just me or does the begining of this song sound like Mind Flowers by The Ultimate Spinach...
