If i were to buy one of these and went to edit or upload my footage, what Software/ Equipment would i need? My pc is really nothing special. windows xp. i'm not even sure if its able to manage HD Footage.

I should be renwing my pc within the next year or so but i plan on getting a Flip mino HD or something similar before this.

I owned a Flip MinoHD 2nd generation and loved it, but I realized that with the price, you can buy much better pocket camcorders for much cheaper. I bought a Samsung HMX-E10...a camera that is very under the radar, but it is much better than the Flip cams...that is just my opinion, but I understand why people like the Flip cams.

The thing that I really think is annoying is that there is several videos about flip cams. for example, flip cam ultra vs. flip cam mino. but the problem is that there is some videos that shows the mino with better quality and other videos, the ultra has better quality!!! Ive been wanting to buy a flip cam for about 3 months now but i wanna buy the camera that has obviously a better quality and more time to record and longer batery life.

helpful review i was thinking of getting one of these for my birthday, but is that a defective pixel on the right like was mentioned? and how bad is the lack of image stabilizer? for example if i want to record some videos of me playing a sport like basketball or soccer, and i have a friend hold it, is it so bad that if he holds it steady it will still not look good?

The quality of this camera is really good for it's price. I use it for movies and other things and carry it around for whenever I need to film. It did come out a while back so that might be why it has some features missing from it.
