  • i don't like the directional pad, it is like a sony playstation pad it which it is hard to move diagonally.

  • I was gonna buy one of these until I saw the dingoo A330

  • "I don't recommend this piece of shit, honestly."

  • lol use the zapper on that tiny screen

  • The nes Retro mini was basically the same thing, same design but BETTER!!

  • i heard yuou say "i like to play the real thing" unfortunutly, those clones are called nes on a chip systems, bassically, its almost the same as emulation, only you can use real carts, its the same with actual clone systems, i had to get an original nes just to play kirby adventure at its respectible framerate. neat systems tho dude.

  • Rather stick to my Caanoo with over 6000 games on it, most of them emulated to perfection or close. And it's much smaller, lasts longer, can play many types of games, and has full multimedia capability.

  • @UFRecords01

Agreed i think Homebrew Systems are better due to being more portable, ability to have more games system.

These Handheld Clones just dont work for me, due to the size of the carts makes it not so portable.

I do however see the point in the clones that plug into your TV that play the original carts like the RETRON 3-IN-1 and Famicon Duo

  • I wouldnt take a shit on that thing

  • The FC Mobile 2 is PAL compatible if anyone is wondering. I have two PAL games and they work just as well as my NTSC games do. The games are TMNT 1 and Bart vs the Space Mutants.

  • Hmm... the cartridge is rather obtrusive. It'd be a good idea to make a costume one; the chip itself is really small in comparison to the cart.

  • @jbetenbender Get an Asian 1, especially when this is probably Japanese any way.

  • i love you, gamester81, but boy, you obsessed

  • The first one is (was) sold in Russia under the brand Dendy MegaBoy. :D

  • emulator on your psp works best since you have all your games backed up anyway right

  • @Whit3nDirTy but that isnt the point, the point is so you can use your carts.

  • @emojo1990 thats why they made the devices that allow you to rip the rom off of your cart so you can carry all of your games with you on your computer or handheld device. im not carrying my boxes of nes carts all over the place when with a psp is all i would need is the tv av cord that i own and an emulator.

  • @Whit3nDirTy but then you might aswell just download existing roms lol!

  • @emojo1990 who says i didnt? only difference is i still own the games so im not pirating anything. also if you notice even gamester81 talks crap about how Sh!t this cart system is.

  • WickedDrummer44

  • buy a gameboy

  • 2:43 "Don't get this unless you want it for paperweight or a doorstop"

  • You could always saw the top off the cartridges, they're empty anyway :)

  • does it come with games?

  • i thought i was funny where he said "dont buy this, it is a piece of s**t

  • Designer of the first one was a super troll. I didn't know these rare beings existed up until now.

  • i know u prefer the real thing but come on man, you would rather play on that huge brick then on an emu psp?

And in a way its not the real thing cuz the hardware isnt official

  • anyone notice its called P-NES?

  • did they ever release this outside of the states would really like to get one of these in the uk

  • yea super offroad for snes that game was effin awesome still got it

  • I wonder if the parts could be used from the newer one to make a wireless mod for the original NES?

  • fuuuckkk yeaaa. Ima get one of these and walk around playing zelda.

  • They sell those at play n trade for like 30 bucks

  • yea fuck dat if u wanna have a nes portable get a psp hack it n ull have a portable nes :) dats wut i did wid super nintendo haha

  • so is it good for like adults? cuz i wanna get one for my dad

  • Were do u get this

  • Why is it so difficult for these yahoos to get something like a portable NES right? It's 26 year old technology, four buttons, and a D-pad. It's not rocket science. Mixed up buttons, a split D-pad, sound problems, crappy screens, no built-in battery... I'd happily pay $75 for one that isn't junk, but that's all they seem willing to slap together for us.... garbage.

It's the same thing with those trash portable Genesis units.

  • @NecrophageonIII well thats easy..all these people are just like you...stupid..crying..and demanding..

why dont you make it ...or stfu and do something else useful in life

  • @davidgsr2k Which people are those? ... and who's demanding anything? Read much?

  • u gettin a supa boy john?

  • fake ass Sega Nomad

  • i have the mobile 2 and i love it..except some games like Pipedreams doesnt work in the thing :(

  • too many "Uhhh" man.... can u just talk... write the text before if it's too difficult for you to just speak normally. It's annoying.

  • John swore! Thumbs up!!!

  • so how does multiplayer work, or is it unsupported?

  • i want a retrominix... ummm, looking back, ps1 plays nes games, and ps2 plays snes games, so i just need a screen and play... but it would still be fun if anyone looked at me playing a nes game, like zelda or shadowgate after class in a retrominiX

  • I'd prefer using an SD card that is loaded with all the ROM images.

  • At first I thought a portable nes would be amazing. But them I remembered I have a psp and emulators...

  • Can you use the wirless remotes with just the system not on a TV?

  • Does the FC mobile II work with game genie

  • I noticed with the second system when ever you hit the start button the screen in the bottom right corner kinda seems like it gets pressure on it

  • GET A GP2X YOU CAN PLAY ANY EMULATOR. WHO WANTS A BIG ASS CARTRIDGE STICKIGN OUT. GAMEPARK OR DINGOO IS MUCH BETTER

  • @armarmbasically The Wiz is really good too.

  • Did they just rip sony's controllers?

  • Do either of them play PAL regieon games?

  • Those look pretty cool... but hey... let's face it... would you WANT to be seen carrying one of those around with you? lol, I mean... I wouldn't care either way... but... I mean... sitting on the bus holding some sort of rectangular device with an NES cartridge sticking out of it... is kind of a funny thought.

  • I think it's funny that people refuse to use an emulator because it's "not authentic enough" but are willing to use a NOAC (Nintendo On A Chip) which is about 85% compatible with Nintendo cartridges.

  • NOAC shitty hardware inside

    Noooooo thanks

    Anyway, great video

  • los colores en esta consola no certificada por nintendo pero legal..XD se desgastan mas casi siempre pasa eso ase poquito me compre una consola lanzada por fujitel S.A y los colores eran malitos

  • dude..that is sweet.i would like to have one of those.awesome vid man.keep em comin

  • can i fart?

  • I had the 1st one. I hated it and traded it to a flea market game vendor for 4 snes games.

  • Wow they really jacked up that button placement on that first portable nes. What were they thinking?

  • I think there was a variant of that FC Mobile you had called the Retro Mini, and a variant of that Retro Mini you had called the FC Mobile. Holy crap, a reversal.

  • I know you say you prefer this kind of stuff over emulators but really what is the difference. Most of the time emulators get the color and sound better than this stuff anyways. Neither of these mimic the feel of having an old NES controller in your hands either. Not that I've used these units but I can tell because the buttons are off as you said and they don't have sharp corners.

  • I remember playing that game on DOS but the floppy broke.

    Good memories :D

  • Can you plug it to TV?

  • Nintendo supported the Game Boy for so long because it is awesome.

  • its like hey paul thats small whats goes on there (thats what she said) oh and you pull out a mail bag and shows all the games (for the first one)

  • this is awesome but i prefer roms on my ds

  • ok its nice but i dont like it, it wont fit in my pocket, so its useless for me..

  • i'd love to buy the fc mobile II,

but sadly the PAL version is fucked up :(

it plays some games right, but most run way too fast its a mass.

  • the console is smaller than the cartridge

  • Is he fucking mental?! why WOULD ANYONE HAVE THE A AND B BUTTON LIKE THAT!?

How the hell will you run and jump on mario with that awkward design?

I dare you to press the 9 numpad and 5 and say that it's doesn't feel awkward..

Who designed the controls!? SEGA!? like how are you supposed to press the A button and the C button at the same time!?

  • Thats just too funny seeing a handheld system with a huge effin NES cartridge stickin out.

  • what about a portable snes super famicom in 1 hand held ^_^

  • Please Help! I'm having some serious issues with my Retro Mini X. Some games which work fine on my real NES [Tetris, Mario 2, and the Duck Hunt/Mario cart] start up fine on the FC, but then get blurry, and often freeze, it looks like its circuit bending or something like that.

I can upload a video so you can see EXACTLY what's happening. This worries me, I dont want to end up frying any of my NES games! Have you had a problem like this?

  • haha "i don't recommend this piece of shit for you". That was hilarious.

  • are u giving the fc mobile away because i want despite its terrible. PLEASE REPLY =)

  • @joshbot360

    They sell them on ebay.

  • The second console has a better button configuration than even the nes itself. Even with the super nintendo they changed the mario controls to where B is jump and Y was run. Which is exactly how the second console would play.

  • all they have to do is renew the patents and its game over for the maker of these retro systems lol

  • do they have one for the SNES ?

  • @TheMysterypooper Yeah, but what if you don't wanna break the law?

  • was this a real product or a fake

    that nintendo did not approve?

  • @eajoread This is an unlicensed Nintendo product but is legal because the NES patent has expired.

  • :O

  • @Gamester81 could u say that applies to reproduction game cartridges too? dunno if u know this already but those are just NES cartridges with fan-translated japan-only-released famicom game roms burned onto them

  • if you want to play nes or snes games on the go, just buy a flash card for the ds and download an nes emulator for it and download some roms, then when you turn it on go to the emulator and open a rom and there you go you can now play nes games on the go

  • you know, i have been looking for a doorstop that plays NES games poorly

  • pliz tell wher can i buy one ! pliz!

  • has anyone noticed BOTH of them has a Playstation D-pad

  • so all what runs off of batteries

  • hey i dont have a regular nes so i dont have the controller but should i get this for 40$

  • i have that game

  • I got My FC Mobile 2 from Play & and Trade video games for 60 bucks but it included 2 wrieless controlers , and one zapper gun (etc) I got it like what 2 days ago great console you can play from your tv too which is more awesome ....

  • been watching your reviews through the past week on all 3 of your channels and was wondering what are your favorite nintendo series??

  • lol ima put both in my pocket. those things are huge. good review btw

  • how in the hell do you use zapper witch it??? the screen is smaaaalllll u get a hit each time?

  • @79rent no,the zapper and the controllers only work on the tv....duh

  • were did you pay 40 dollars for it? je je ...And can you tell me ...i just found theyve done these type of things ...can you tell me were you bought it and were i can get one please? i think this is super cool..can you please reply to me...please..please you gave a good amount of review on them ...i would like to buy one..thank you...

  • @therezn55 Try Stoneagegamer(.)com or ebay.

  • I hacked my PSP with the "Pandora Battery" (AKA "Maintenance Mode") and the Dark Alex's modified PSP firmware, then I got some NES and SNES emulators, loaded up a few ROM's onto the appropriate directories (Usually .\ROM on the working directories where the emulators are), THAT in addition to me being able to play the standard PSP games. You can also get other emulators, such as Basilisk to emulate the Mac 68040 with Mac OS 8.1 on your PSP, plus alot more on 1 single unit.

  • @WickedDrummer44 Yeah so?

  • @Gamester81 just saying ight!

  • @Gamester81

That's because marriage is for guys that collect video games...

  • @Gamester81 your wife must be awesome. My girlfriend hates me paying for "star wars toys", and my NES & SNES collection.

  • @Gamester81 he's jealous

  • they need to put a build in battery

  • I got a RetroMini X recently (Lucky me XD). I got 2 games with it, one of which was Duck Hunt, but Duck Hunt came out all screwy and glitchy. Do you reckon its the cart screwing up?

  • Dingoo sucks in my opinion watch ashens review its slow for genesis and has frame rate and gba is slow nes is fine

  • For the FC mobile 2, they had the B A buttons perfect. Switching them where you suggested, goes in the opposit direction your hand contours. That makes no sense at all. Your thumb naturally starts south east, and goes in a stright line north west. Starting south west and moving north east makes your joint tired as hell, and makes games like mario a pain in the ass.

  • wow this looks cool I want one! LOL

  • can u played castlevania 3 on it, i heard alot of those f.c systems cant play few nes games

  • i want grab a moker and destroy the fc mobile.

why, becouse 1 a b buttons are reversed 2 they put a reset button way too close to the action buttons,3 they shut not have to anny reset button on it.

4 the screen is just too small 5 the speakers more looks like old telefone speakers, only ugly availeble colors.

  • I Got a Retro Mini at Play 'N Trade today and it was Awesome.

  • do super nintendo games work on the second one

  • No but there is a seperate FC 16 Go System that does play SNES games.

  • 8-bit is enough ;)

  • they should make one that's like an nes controller with a screen on top of it.

  • Wow, in Russia we have FC Mobile rebranded as "Mega Boy", and it comes in blue-silver color =)

  • Hey thanks for the help on the newer one. Ive heard that the cartrage wabbles in thesystem a little bit. With your review i have more info on the portable nes system.

  • here in Brazil we have the handboy released in 1995, sorry, i dont have one at the moment... if i found i put some video

  • The Retromini-X looks interesting, going to have to give that a look...

  • Wow awesome =) The other FC portable clone Game Axe Color FC-868 doesn't even have a dust flap.. which I think is really bad for your cartridges life :P

  • i getting dsi honbrew and ill put roms on that

  • those are pretty unconfortable to use. i have the retro duo (nes and snes together) and its always hooked up to my tv. but if im travelling, i dont want to get my nes carts with me. so i use my psp with emulators.

  • some of these folks miss the whole point of using carts. totally picking this up, great for my handheld collection. Great review btw!

  • and that is why you make your own portable nes...

  • I'd rather put NES emulator and roms on my psp than use that.

  • there's also the FC mobile 2 that looks the same as the retro mini X but I don't know what the differences are in the two.

  • @zeldajunkielol2 do you mean they are different, which is better the FC mobile II or Retro Mini X? I bet they are going to make further batch revisions.

  • @jennycorea. I don't own either of two but I would think the retromini x is better from the reviews I've seen.

  • I have the Retro mini X, its really awesome, but I cant get paperboy to work :(

  • lol i just reviewed the retromini-x.....i really like it!!!

  • i would rather get a portable DVD player with av ports and hook up a nes console, THAT WOULD BE BEAST

  • I have an FC Mobile and it works and sounds great. I would definately recommend it to retro gamers like myself.

  • Those two systems are sweet. I never knew anything like that existed. I may end up getting one. The second one as you recommended.

  • get it! its awesome dude!

  • Nice. But I'll prefer using my NES.

  • Those buttons on the first one... Lets jump over this pit... Oh shit... I speed ran straight into it instead... ¬_¬

  • imagine you,re far in progress then you feel like to press the select but you probabely hit the reset button also the reversed a & b button makes it more harder to play.

the design is ugly as hell as it feels more like the early 80,s puffffff

  • thats cool.

be an idea to have one in your pocket if your in a junk shop or a car boot sale/ swap meet. so you could test games you see there

  • i bought the retro mini or Fc moble...after the review i did w/ it the d pad sank in...i cant use the d-pad properly now

  • we sell the second one at my store and everyone seems to love it

  • nice review, i want one of these.

  • ive got the retro mini x. it doesnt work properly. when i put in a game it just comes up with a black screen. plz help.

  • 3 suggestions.

    Clean the carts!

    Clean the carts!!

    Clean the carts!!!

99 times out of 100 or actually more like 999 times out of 1000 if an original NES, a NES toploader, or any of the clones won't work it is because the cartridge connector on the game is dirty. Actually that applies to pretty much any game system that uses cartridges.

If you look on YouTube there are several different videos on how to clean the carts.

  • Stone Age Gamer (dot com) has both those systems, the second one is called FC Mobile 2, but same thing. I got one, and love it. At last, a real portable NES, instead of an emulator running on my GBA or something

  • how much was that last thing and where did u get it at

  • i wan a super nintendo portable

  • um um uhh um um, lol

  • OMG i really want one of those where did you get them??

  • i got one of of ebay for $40

  • Great vid if you have an r4 and a ds There is an emulator for nes and snea

  • it's like a Sega Nomad except you play NES games lol

  • And the battery lives aren't crap :P

  • Odd that the "FC Mobile" required and adaptor to play FC games...seems like it'd be the other way around...

  • You should buy a Dingoo A320! You can play NES, SNES, GB/GBC, GBA and many more games on it. It is brilliant! You fill it with rom files.

  • Yeah I thought about it. I'll probably pick it up eventually, but I own the GP2X Wiz which does the same thing.

  • Thanks for pointing out the issues with the FC Mobile. I was considering buying one but reversed buttons? No thanks!

  • Sweeeet!

  • Is there a game console you dont own

  • Yeah there are a number of them, but most people probably have never heard of including the The Aiwa CSD-G1M.

  • The second one isn't bad, but I've seen better ones.

    nice review though
