  • sing the song..

  • I love jimmy buffett! brings back memories of my father who passed away last year. he was a true parrot head. I love you daddy and miss you very much!

  • Buffett ain't dead he just badly hurt himself

  • Haters: Eat me

  • One of my very favorite songs of all time.

  • Really this song is a classic country tune more than anything else.Anyway RIP Jimmy !!!!! You were great !!!

  • @justcallmeassinine

two things...lol...it was his first rock hit...one he had to do to convince the record company to let him do his music...and he so ain't dead so RIP?

  • @TxMoon56 Which Jimmy? Buffet or Hendrix?

  • @justcallmeassinine ur a dumass

  • Wonderful. Hope he stages strong recovery from his stage fall in Sydney on Wednesday. Sorry to miss him in Auckland this time around.

  • i love you this song

  • Love-Love_Love- this song! Come on Jimmy

  • Thanks to my parents who took me to 3 Buffet concerts before age 20 ! Best time of my life. Smoking up with my folks and Bros. Partying in the parking lot!!!!! Jimmy you Fing ROCK

  • Right when he sings I can't help it honey [the bridge] he plays a Bmaj7 chord. This has agreat sound and it is a really nice touch.Like him or not Buffett knows how to write a song very talented. Also the bass player in this video is Timothy B Schmit from the Eagles [ I can't tell you why]

  • This is from "Live By The Bay' in Miami, and if you have never been to a live Buffett concert,go please.you'll enjoy the hell out of it,been 15 times and had a gr8 time EVERY time.

  • what arena is he playing?

  • @gina9152007k and @rockinredneck57 I don't know what kinds of shows you have been to, but the ones I have seen, the songs were sung as closely to the original that could be humanly possible. Since you all think it is impossible to sing the song exactly like the album, Ever seen a Paul McCartney concert??? I doubt it. His are virtually flawless and the entertainment value is insurmountable. It's a shame that JImmy would choose to sing like this when he is a gifted singer.

  • Jimmy Buffett you are my hero. I lived on the ocean my whole life, Jupiter Florida. I woke up to you and Bob Marley every morning. I was wearing you t-shirts in the early 80"s. Funny when I see people just reallizing you sell them. LOL I listen to you still. Always a smile n my face! You are the best of keeping it real! Thanks! Shirley

  • His best song.

  • @toehead....I agree with you. I would have been so PO'd had I paid money to be at that concert. People pay their hard earned money to hear them sing their songs like they do on their albums/cd's. Not this crap. I now know that if he came to my area to do a concert, I wouldn't go.

  • @mindgames1259

no. people go for the show, and Buffet is a good show from what I understand. If you want to hear it like on the cd play the cd and stay home.

  • @mindgames1259 Nobody does songs exactly like the "album". Most times it's not even the same musicians. They are freer and looser in concert and and do it they way they want to, not the way some producer tells them to. They play live to have fun, not to do songs just like the record.

  • Legend.

  • I Love Jimmy Buffet as much as I love Al Stewart....What's the connection????

  • ..and Mondays can be the greatest day of the

    week.

  • ..he looks like a million bucks, riding the pavements....paying the IRS. There needs to

    be a shelter for Hushpupppies.

  • first saw jimmy at poplar creek some thirty years ago..sad to say it all office buildings now..

  • jimmy, i know it's your song, but you butchered it...belting out and growling, the song is so powerful when song gently, shame on you!

  • This is cool.......Thanks for posting

  • LOVE YOU JIMMY!

  • JIMMY! I fell in and out of love to this song.....years and years with you, my friend. Come Monday.

  • i love margaritaville but i like this more becaus i always sang this with my family and dad

  • That was a great concert at the Miami Seaquarium...best party ever...think they fished me out of Biscayne Bay a day or two later but the manatees fed me lettuce until help arrived. This song is an ode to Jane Slagsvol who was and is Jimmy's wife and a dear friend.
