I love jimmy buffett! brings back memories of my father who passed away last year. he was a true parrot head. I love you daddy and miss you very much!
Thanks to my parents who took me to 3 Buffet concerts before age 20 ! Best time of my life. Smoking up with my folks and Bros. Partying in the parking lot!!!!! Jimmy you Fing ROCK
Right when he sings I can't help it honey [the bridge] he plays a Bmaj7 chord. This has agreat sound and it is a really nice touch.Like him or not Buffett knows how to write a song very talented. Also the bass player in this video is Timothy B Schmit from the Eagles [ I can't tell you why]
This is from "Live By The Bay' in Miami, and if you have never been to a live Buffett concert,go please.you'll enjoy the hell out of it,been 15 times and had a gr8 time EVERY time.
@gina9152007k and @rockinredneck57 I don't know what kinds of shows you have been to, but the ones I have seen, the songs were sung as closely to the original that could be humanly possible. Since you all think it is impossible to sing the song exactly like the album, Ever seen a Paul McCartney concert??? I doubt it. His are virtually flawless and the entertainment value is insurmountable. It's a shame that JImmy would choose to sing like this when he is a gifted singer.
Jimmy Buffett you are my hero. I lived on the ocean my whole life, Jupiter Florida. I woke up to you and Bob Marley every morning. I was wearing you t-shirts in the early 80"s. Funny when I see people just reallizing you sell them. LOL I listen to you still. Always a smile n my face! You are the best of keeping it real! Thanks! Shirley
@toehead....I agree with you. I would have been so PO'd had I paid money to be at that concert. People pay their hard earned money to hear them sing their songs like they do on their albums/cd's. Not this crap. I now know that if he came to my area to do a concert, I wouldn't go.
@mindgames1259 Nobody does songs exactly like the "album". Most times it's not even the same musicians. They are freer and looser in concert and and do it they way they want to, not the way some producer tells them to. They play live to have fun, not to do songs just like the record.
That was a great concert at the Miami Seaquarium...best party ever...think they fished me out of Biscayne Bay a day or two later but the manatees fed me lettuce until help arrived. This song is an ode to Jane Slagsvol who was and is Jimmy's wife and a dear friend.
im a long time buffett fan like all of us. just ran across a reference to this song by a young man (i think) by the name of dustin abraham. pretty darn goood. its called "family"
living on sponge cake, watching the sun bake, all of those parriot heads covered in oil, smell those scrimps there beginning to boil, i love j buffett.
I saw JB in a little coffeehouse in Miami down near Coconut Grove back in 1969. There might have been ten people in the audience, if that. I think it cost about $2.00 to get in. Excellent show.
Jimmy Buffett fucking Alcoholic ;promoting buzz to the young I guess he donts remembers the fool he was while drinking **but money talk and bull shit walk shame on him!! Ask him why Today he donts drink and goes to AA.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no. people go for the show, and Buffet is a good show from what I understand. If you want to hear it like on the cd play the cd and stay home.
