Had scans at the New QE Hospital in Birmingham. Now the problem for me is that i had a 'before' and 'after' scan. The first scan was a walk in the park however the second scan was not a good experience as it was more enclosed and i felt VERY restricted. I had to curtail it and 2 weeks later come back to another machine which was not as claustrophobic. I was later told that approx 30-40 per cent of people could not go through with a scan when the machine was the smaller sized machine.
what about the anxiety of having to wait until the scan is read by a doctor and the week long wait until the actual results will be revealed . ?
