i dont know what the complaints are about, this is pretty solid, especially when it gets nice and experimental. i missed most of the set at roo, but i caught GRAB in chi-town, and it was sick, w/ plenty of interesting jams.
I was there (just in front of the sound booth) and the show was INCREDIBLE. I was just lucky enough to talk to Marco Benevento about it at his CD Release last night and he agrees:
Ok, clearly there is a difference of opinion between those of us that were there(10 feet in front of Trey) and those that are seeing this after the fact. One of the most raucous and exhilirating atmospheres ive ever been a part of. Phil brought the house down - energy lvl absolutely off the charts.
Just like the Phish syndrome, ego preventing a cooperative atmosphere...Duo w/ Mike excellent but conforming to Trey not so good....not enough time to blend
@bridog6996 the beginning of the first tune there was obviously technical difficulties because there is no keys... so yeah trey had no idea what was going on, all in all he kept the tune going and covered the melody that that was omited by the keys. lets see you get up on stage in front of a crowd like this and see how you do when things go wrong
Oh man, this is super weak. I'm a fan of Trey and will always listen to his new material just to see where he is at in his career, but what a dissapointment. If it weren't for the party atmosphere down there, this would have completely sucked. HONESTLY, if you saw ANYBODY else play that set, would you have been impressed? It picked up a little bit from time to time, but let me finish with my intro: super weak.

Ugh, this is so awful. If anything it makes me glad that Trey is sober now. He looks/plays awful in this video.

Wow, Trey had no idea what was going on with that first tune by the Duo. Pretty sloppy. He should've just let the Duo and Mike rock it out.
